1  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES / the QUEEN of TRASH! (recycling that is) on: July 05, 2007 04:09:11 PM

here's the trash i used to make this loverly tiara declaring my reign over wearable junk Tongue i made the basic circle thing out of silver wire. i wrote "Queen of TRASH" in purple wire and attached it to a big silver paper clip. on each side, theres a green metal thing (caribeaner on one side, unknown metal thing on the other), a metal  soda cap, a washer, and a soda can tab. over the top theres a red metal chain, and a buckle hanging below it.

hope you like it! : )
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Buttonhole help!!! please help craftsters! on: July 01, 2007 11:15:41 AM
well i'm no expert, but the way i did it once was using a zigzag stitch and adjusting the stitch length kinda small, and then just going up and down the edge til it was kinda solid. hehe. i just kinda wing it.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my first post... t-shirts into hoodie!!! (lots of pics) on: July 01, 2007 10:09:53 AM

so i'm a total newb here, but already you guys have inspired me and brought back all my craftiness that had slowly died over the past school year...

here is my first project! it was based on Mezzi's hoodie, heres the page.. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=100217.0

so anyhow, i started with...

this is the remains of a t-shirt for a percussion group i'm in. once upon a time, i tried to make it into a tank top in a rush late at night when i had absolutely no idea what i was doing. ugh. but now its being reincarnated : )

i used this shirt's sleeves, and used the body to make my hood and pockets

this became the trim on the hood. its the bottom of my camo pants that i wear for my group's performances, i made them into capri's for summer.

i took my zipper from this old hoodie

ok, so then it became...

it says "JR CREW presents LIVING A DRUG FREE LIFE, percussion movement performers". basically we're like the broadway show stomp. except kids. and with a drug free message, supposedly.

thats my stage name... definitely did not pick it. haha.

so yeah. thats it! can't wait to craft more!
