1  UNITED STATES / Missouri / Re: Stitch & Bitch at Cooperella! Sewing Machines welcome! on: May 08, 2008 11:21:37 AM
Is this happening again in May?  I missed the first one, but would love to come if it's going to be a regular event!
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: what kind of super magic is this sewing machine? on: November 24, 2007 04:38:14 PM
That's the Bernina BSR foot - it's incredible.  After I tried it in person, I bought a machine that can use the BSR foot.  Three current Bernina models can use the foot - I have the 440.

The cool thing about this foot is that as you move your fabric, the foot automatically senses how quickly you're moving it, and adjusts how quickly it stitches.  It makes free motion quilting SOOOOO much easier!  I don't think I do a good job of explaining it, so check out the Bernina website for more info.
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Q Snap for embroidery? on: November 11, 2007 08:45:10 AM
I love to use Q-Snap hoops for embroidery - they are my favorite!  I do sometimes need to retighten the hoops, but it's so easy - takes about 2 seconds, literally!  I'm able to get the fabric tighter than when I use a regular circular hoop, plus it doesn't wrinkle the fabric like a circular hoop does.
