That is sooo lovely! I would want to wear it all the time. You should make a skirt or dress with a similar design  Cheesy

Thanks for commenting Cheesy I wore my pants to work today and they are so comfortable!!!

The stitching was machine done. I was really happy that I could do something like that, 'cause my hand stitching isn't that even.

The cat is Mau Mau. Much photographed and weighs 14lbs. Even on a long term diet! He usually isn't so annoyed when I hold him.

Wow that is really awesome! You did an excellent job.

I love the Saturday Night Hat book. It's really cute and easy directions. I made the engineer's cap and want to make the sun hat next.

I thought I would finally take the plunge and make a button-up shirt/blouse and a pair of wide legged pants. I've made a lot of pants before but usually rush and my old machine was really cranky, so they never turned out well.
But this time! I'm really happy with the results of both pieces.

I think I'm channeling my grandma a little bit. Smiley

I spent two very late nights putting together this dress + a day designing the pattern and mockup. I got the design from Lee young Hee: http://www.leeyounghee.co.kr/. It's from her Seoul collection and if you dig around you can find it. Unfortunately there isn't a link directly to it.

I only have one good picture and hopefully this link provides the larger image.

I made up the design for the back and it has a covered button and loop at the top. The dress is made of two pieces, no darts and it doesn't come in at the waist much. The fabric is some sort of rayon, really smooth, drapey and heavy. I put it on for the first time and it went foomp! to the floor. The belt is of silk organza. I hand stitched the hem and created bias tape for all the edges and then hand sewed them. I'm not sure that I've ever spent so much time on a garment before, but it was well worth it and really fun to wear.
