Wow, thanks Dragonflywer!  The Bind-It-All is a wondrous and dangerous tool!
3713  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Halloween "Apothecary", "Soothsayer's Den" & "Haunted Tavern" Party - Ideas? on: October 08, 2009 11:16:59 AM
I ALSO FOUND A LOT OF SUPPLIES AT THE DOLLAR STORE.  I FOUND PLASTIC FLIES BUT WHEN I PUT THEM IN THE BOTTLE YOU COULDN'T TELL WHAT THEY WERE.  SO I FILLED THE BOTTLE WITH CLEAR HAIR GEL, ALSO FROM THE DOLLAR TREE, AND THEN PUT THE FLIES IN THE BOTTLE SO THEY WERE SUSPENDED IN AIR.

I AM NOW WANTING TO MAKE A HAUNTED LIBRARY.  I WENT TO GOOD WILL AND BOUGHT OLD LOOKING BOOKS. I PAINTED THE SPINES TO COVER THE TITLES BUT KNOW I AM HAVING A HARD TIME COMING UP WITH SCARY TITLES FOR BOOKS.  SO FAR I HAVE ONLY COME UP WITH " HOW TO BUTCHER A HUMAN".

ANY IDEAS?

I bet there are some real books with pretty creepy names to be found online.

Cooking People
The Ethical Cannibal
Drinking Blood for Health
Build You Own Ossuary!
Bone Crafts
Serial Killers' Handbook

Has anyone any ideas on what to do with gray bring old concrete like this?

I think this looks great!

Acrylic house paint with thorough prep, good primer and lots of top coats.  There are porch and floor paints, but often in limited colors, If you prep, prime and topcoat you can use regular housepaint (probably even craft paint).

Awwww, they grow up so fast!  I bet napkins would take a lot of binding, but would be super cute!  Show 'em when you get 'em.

Thanks so much, theatreorchid!  I've had a lot of fun making these and watching people's reactions.  Hopefully you'll get to let some friends open it and watching their reaction.  Good fun!
