Boring?  This is fantastic!  I looked at the photos before the title or the text (thank you for the compliment!) and just loved it... especially the leaves and sheep.  Their wooliness is so nice!

Really, very very clever.

Why, thank you!

Another great idea Mistress T. Maybe it will show up on your Etsy sometime?

Thank you, craftewoman!  I will take your question into consideration and refrain from answering specifically to avoid breaking the advertising rule.   Wink

MistressT, Wow!!! What a clever idea! (Love the "Kisses" logo!) I am not so technically knowledgeable about computers and such, but as a functioning chocoholic I see the purse as sort of like a little "works" kit- you know, like junkies might use for their heroin! ManFlesh's mom will be getting some serious chocolate fixes with your gift!

Throughout the year (birthday, mother's day, valentine's day, etc.) you could help replenish her stash for her "on the go" chocolate needs!

ManFlesh had better know that you are a "keeper"!!!  Smiley

Thank you!  That's so funny you mentiong the heroine thing.  As I was making this I thought of the kit that Christopher had in The Sopranos.  And you know, lately I think he really does.   Smiley

YKYACW you get that same warm feeling you get from making your yearly charitable donations when you renew your Friend of Craftster status.

That is great. I like the idea of making it look like the apple logo. Very creative Smiley

Thank you!  After an unsuccessful search for green vinyl that would work (I was told she liked green, didn't like pink) I decided to use the white vinyl from my stash... and when picturing that shiny white rectangle in my head the apple idea just came to me.

Oh, I like it. I like it a LOT. Smiley

My mother-in-law does the same thing, she has a chocolate drawer. This is a cool and cute way to store it. Smiley

Thanks, Beefranck!  I imagine this one could live in her desk at work, maybe?

YKYACW you read this and decide to mentally count your scissors and realize that you have 4 pairs just in the bathroom (hair, nail, general (mini/folding), and whatever that pair in your travel kit is for.  Then you decide to stop counting at 16 because you feel ridiculous.

I also mentally counted when I saw this and got up to 12 in my bedroom alone (including decorative edge scissors, nail scissors, and mini folding ones) and I feel there are more hiding around here... I didn't even try counting how many pairs there are in the rest of the house, especially not the craft/sewing room  Cheesy

vinnie451: WOW she must have a crazy amount of craft supplies! I'm also jealous!

Right? Of course, I didn't count other tools for cutting like metal shears, wire cutters, rotary cutters, etc.  Smiley

How cute! And what a great way for you to utilize that great inheritance!
3628  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Holiday Stocking Made of Can Tabs on: December 13, 2009 04:51:08 PM
Wow, that's really cool!  I bet it's a pretty safe place for stocking stuffers as those tabs can help deflect projectiles.  Wink

Honestly, even if she doesn't get its a mac reference... who wouldn't like a little chocolate wallet for their purse?

I think the mac reference is cute, btw

Thank you, that's a good point.  And I'm sure the other attendees will get it and oo-ah in such a way as she'll at least get that there's something she's not quite getting.

I'd be pretty excited if I opened that sweet ditty up on Christmas morning!

Thanks!  I'm making another right now for a friend (with a few design changes).
I love it  Grin What an original and inventive idea. I'm sure she'll adore it! Smiley

Thank you!  I realized after I made it and sent photos to The ManFlesh that she might not really get it as she's not a gadget-girl or really very technical.  Undecided

haha, so clever! i'm sure she'll love it.

Thanks!  I hope so!
