Congratulations on making some very thoughtful and lovely gifts!  I hope you enjoy getting to know your grandparents a bit more this holiday.

It was requested that I make this by one friend for another, mutual friend in a far off land and I was so honored to be asked.  It has finally been received and so graciously acknowledged that I can post it here.

Of course, this is a second of this one I did for the Good Cause Challenge, but "quilted" rather than mounted on stretchers.

I made the bias tape myself (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318475.0) to use for this project (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318664.0) and was so glad I had plenty left over for this, because I love how the diagonal stripes are reminiscent of the static on old TVs which kind of ties in with the original War of the Worlds radio broadcast...  but only because they are both old-timey.   Kiss

There are little rings sewn to the back along the top to hang it with.

For some reason I had extra fun free-handing the "signature" on this.

I used satin stitch, back stitch, split stitch and French knots and 1-3 strands. I've received a lovely note from the recipient and believe it was well-received.  YEY!

HOLY McSHEEZY! i exist on the interwebs! (it's a shame the whole internet won't fit on my mom's fridge.)

thanks for the heads up, TheMistressT! (i love freaking EVERYTHING you make, btw...)

Your piece is quite a hit over there, too!  Congratulations!  And, thank you for the compliment... my goodness, I'm all flushed over here.   Kiss

That is such a great idea and so well executed!

I love your Apple-esque chocolate logo! It's so simple and definitely recognizable as a chocolate icon, even if she doesn't get the Apple reference.

Thanks!  Y'all are helping my confidence!

That is neat  Grin I love a lot. No one could hate this.

Thank you!  I like that; "no one could hate this."

Wow, I would love to revieve that at christmas.

Thanks!  I kind of hope I get some chocolate for xmas myself... since I'm giving so much as gifts.

I love this!! soo excellent! I was telling my boyfriend about it and he goes.. yeah, it's called a sock..
I honestly tried explaining the difference but.. ohh the minds of those forever stuck "in-the-box"  Huh
nevermind him, I think it's great! and he may well be getting one for christmas!

Thank you!  The main difference is that a Snuggie is analogous to wearing a bathrobe backwards and a sock is analogous to wearing a sleeping bag over your head.  Plus this is ADJUSTABLE.  Oooooo.

Sadly, I'm not doing any holiday baking this year because I'm working really long hours Mon-Weds this week and a short day on Christmas eve.  Oof.

I have shared this post with people at work and we have been having a great pre-holiday time of it!!  Especially since a bunch of us got snuggies from our relatives already...we can all understand the craze and the absurdity of it all !

Snuggies might just become the cosies of this generation...I remember when we all were making cosies for everything imaginable (we even had a challenge here for it!!)--now we can do snuggies...yours definitely tops my list of favorites!!

Yet one more thing on the list of things I should've patented before posting!   Wink  I'm glad people are enjoying it was much as I enjoyed making and giving it.

Sadly, I'm unable to include an action shot.  Ahem.

Oh, you know what that made me want to do (that I won't do)?  Make like a multi-story, rambling gingerbread house... to sit on the rim of a mug.  Making it ridiculously impractical and (hopefully) totally awesome.  Hehehehehe!
