lol our curtains are also just for "show"....if someone wants to tramp through the woods for a peek, more power to them!  Love how inventive your materials are!  I had closet poles cut down for free at HD to make my rods. Your finish is beautiful and rich...what are the hanging things on the ceiling called? I need those for a bathroom project since there are no wall surfaces to hang from!!!

Love your many, many beautiful and practical home projects...your home is unique and you have made it your own!

Thank you! At our place if someone has gone to the trouble to get here and they aren't honorable, curtains are not going to be what saves us!  Shocked  I wish I could have gotten closet rod in 1" diameter for these... or any wood dowel, but apparently they don't exist! So I had to go another route. The brackets are actually ceiling mount curtain rod brackets, by Umbra, that I bought on Amazon. They come is a few different finishes. I looked at several kinds of ceiling mount brackets and pinned them to a board on pinterest. Here's that board and included on there are these particular brackets, too.

SO much awesome in this one place! All the paper crafts! The fun tees! EEP!

Got a few more done myself. I sewed about 17 over-the-collar-bandanas for dogs at a local shelter, I busted a quit of stash on this one, but here's a sample.  Wink

The rest are shown in their own post on the Crafting for Good and Not Evil .

And I made curtain rods for 3 windows in our liv/din room board.

Also has it's own post on Home Sweet Home.

Next? Maybe new bedside tables for the guest room? We shall see!
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Peanut butter Creamy Frozen Treats on: May 22, 2017 09:26:41 AM
Seems like we end up with extra whipping cream from recipes and pie-times and this might be a good way to use it up!

Yum! Does the Cool Whip make them real light and fluffy? I wonder if it would work with whipped cream?

WOW! Those are great! And you're so right about the fold lending itself to mortar boards... it's like it was made for them.
