Ok, just tried this
First, after trying to iron the wax paper to the fabric for 20 minutes, it still fell right off the back.
SO, I got out my Krylon Spray adhesive I use for embroidery.
Sprayed a REGULAR sheet of printer paper, the plain kind, with a little weight to it. Then laid my fabric, a thinner white cotton, flat on top, and smoothed it out. Spray is VERY sticky, so I trimmed any excess edges of the paper so it was all fabric and paper together, no "more" of either one hanging over the edges.
Ran it thru my inkjet printer, a Canon i3000 or something, LOL.
Set it at "transfer paper" setting (which is why my first one's letters are backwards, DUH me!) and then highest resolution setting.
Here are my results, I didn't make anything pretty out of them, they are just sheets of fabric. BUT...the good news, the regular paper just peeled off the back after printing, and the fabric is not sticky AT ALL, ready to stitch into a amulet bag, or any little thing.
Before I flipped the image, LOL:
Now knowing to flip the text:
Now, I have to figure out how to treat the fabric to make it washable,
but for now, am overjoyed THIS worked!
I have a serger so can make little wall hangings or all kinds of fun stuff..thank you guys so much for your help!
