1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: what to do with this great find? on: January 03, 2009 06:42:51 PM
Oh I did it! I'm sooooo excited now. My awesome dad welded this together for me today! I found an easel at the dollar tree and was able to use that for the back. It turned out great! Thanks for the great ideas.  Here's how it turned out. Let me know what you think.

that is funny that you found that picture because I have been wanting an easel for my books. I will try this idea. Thanks so much you just made my night. I;m ready to tear it down and get busy. Do you know how I would either glue it or piece the parts together?

ANy other suggestions would be great. Thanks

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / New SlipCover for my couch on: December 01, 2008 12:53:37 PM
I made this slipcover for my couch. It took me about 1 week to do. I had no pattern for it. Instead of two big cushions on each, I changed and made three on each top and bottom of the couch. I think it turned out pretty good for not really knowing what the heck I was doing.  I just have to make my pillows and I'm done. Now I have to start on my loveseat which will be a orange color to match the flowers on this one.

Here's a before pic:

Hi I just wanted to share some invitations that I made for my daughters birthday coming up. Its hello kitty. They are some much a hello kitty fan. Anyways, here they are. I used white card stock paper and pink scrapbook ribbon that I found at the dollar tree and of course markers to draw the face.
I traced the image from the computer and then cut them out, and I hot glued the ribbon to the paper. Very simple and easy
Then you just write on the back for the date and time, etc.

Yours turned out great! She's a cutie too! I love the colors you used too.  Did you turn your straps inside out like it said too? I had trouble turning mine, do you know of an easier way than just a pencil? LOL!
