1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Lace Panties on: July 14, 2007 06:17:18 PM
To be honest, I was scared to look until now (thought they'd look like granny doily panties), but I wish I'd looked sooner. I really like those so much. My husband would like them, too!
2  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Modified Knot Ugly Shrug - A Cardigan! on: July 11, 2007 07:50:56 AM
I LOVE it! Eddie Bauer has a similar cardigan that my boss just bought and I love it, but refuse to buy it. I never considered turning a shrug into the cardigan. Yay! Good job on the modification!!

For the things I do, I have fallen in love with Lion Brand CottonEase. I love anything soft and comfy and doesn't hurt my fingers when I'm working it.

I seriously thought Tapestry was when you pull a strand of yarn through several hoops on the hook, like knitting and crochet combined somewhat. I didn't know it was just carrying the alternating color. Hrmm... well, now I know!

No I didn't do tapestry, just regular SC carrying both colors. It was just a trial run so I used the only black and red I had laying around, the black a thin cotton/poly blend and the red is a bulky wool that I pulled one strand out to make it only 2 strands since it was so heavy and thick. I used an F hook and it's still too tall for anything but this big glass.

I turned him into a Jolly Koozie!

Once I started the koozie, I realized it was made for a giant drink so it still needs to be modified to fit an actual 12 oz can. Thanks for looking!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: working in the round? on: June 27, 2007 07:21:30 PM
Chain 3 means yarn over and pull the yarn through the hook 3 times, to make a small chain of stitches, then do a slip stitch, then chain 2.

Somewhere here there is a link to all the websites. There is a great one with videos.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / 50 pcs of 2 yd ribbon - what to make? on: June 27, 2007 07:17:22 PM
I needed about 1 foot of pink ribbon and there was a big bag of asst ribbon at the fabric store that was cheap and had the piece I needed. I am now the owner of a bag full of ribbon, all 2 yards each, and varying widths and colors/designs.

ideas? Thanks!
