1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Beads: they need a warning label for addictiveness. on: November 06, 2007 07:43:11 AM
What a great variety of styles and designs! I particularly like Tailfeather, your Grandmother's very lucky!  I too have a thing for peacocks, and have been wanting a pattern to try, I'd love a copy of the graph and would obviously only use it to make items for myself and as gifts. You are very talented for a reasonably novice beader!

Rachel (e-mail for graph: manzidude@yahoo.co.uk) Many thanks for being happy to share!

This is absolutely beautiful.  I love the way you've bent the ends of the petals out, it gives the design depth & a sense of energy.  I'm into beads & glass but my husband is into making silver jewelry (mainly for me, hooray!), and hasn't made anything for a while, I'm bookmarking this to give him some inspiration!  Are some of the petals planished (hammered)?
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Mater...you want me to make you a car?? on: October 29, 2007 06:39:36 AM
Wow, that is fantastic! I'd better not let my son see it, cause he'll want one too and I don't think mine would look half as good! You totally captured Mater's facial expression, your son is very lucky.

Oh, you! You continue to inspire & astound! Your incredible bracelets got me beading and joining craftster, and now I think you've shown me a way to finish my own freeform piece, which has developed into a bit of a random shape. It's also taking forever as beads and toddlers don't mix that well - seeing this necklace was the kick in the ass that I need to get it done, thanks! You rock and so does this.

Wow, these are so amazing!  I'm currently working on my first ever freeform piece, what stitch(es) have you used for these necklaces? I love how you've used such big shells to contrast with the tiny seed beads.  You are very talented, and your Mum is very lucky!
6  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: more crappy coasters on: August 30, 2007 07:22:20 AM
Ooh, I don't think these are crappy at all - I love them! The colours and simple rounded geometric forms remind me of Charles Rennie Mackintosh - I have never tried fusing but want to, and would be happy to create something like these!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Wild Things mural (a bit photo heavy) on: July 04, 2007 05:04:16 AM
Wow, well done! I have a little boy called Max and have been trying to think of a mural idea for his room - though as Penlowe has pointed out, kids will have their own opinions on these things! I think my Max would prefer fire engines or steam trains for his own room, but I would definitely prefer a ceiling hung with vines and walls that 'become the world all around'. Beautiful!
8  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Dichroic Swirls, Circles, and Dots....Fused Glass Pendants on: June 26, 2007 07:03:32 AM
Oooh, your work is just so gorgeous, I love them all but have a particular weakness for spirals and turquoise - fabulous!
9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Depth Perception Fused Glass Pendants x 3 on: June 26, 2007 06:50:10 AM
Wow, I have been looking at a lot of your work and it's all really beautifully made, but these are absolutely amazing! I've never seen anything like them before.  Your colour combinations are great, I especially love the blue & green one, though the others look almost like sweets, which is always good.  I'd love to see one in purples and violets. I'm hitting this rocks!
