1  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / Collaborative Art Meetup in NYC on: April 26, 2004 05:30:35 PM
There's going to be a meetup of collaborative artists in NYC this Monday --it's organized by meetup.com so you can join (for free) there and find out more.  But you don't have to join to come to the meeting.  Here's the information: The cafe is called "88 Orchard," cleverly enough, as it's on 88 Orchard St, New York, NY.  The meeting will be Monday, May 3 @ 7:00PM.
2  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / Crafty trip to Michael's, anyone? on: December 09, 2003 06:30:32 AM
I live in Jersey City, NJ which is in fact mere minutes away from the island of Manhattan by PATH train.  Anyway I also have a car and I was thinking of going to the Michael's in Paramus because I've never been to one and there seem to be so many supplies that I want to get there(inspired by all the great project ideas on craftster.org!).  So I was thinking that there might be some car-less NYC and/or Jersey City area crafters who would want to come along.  I'm flexible about time, but I want to go sometime soon so that I can make all the holiday presents I want to give out this year.  It's very easy to get here from numerous points along sixth ave and now the WTC as well.  Then I think it's about 10-15 miles to the store.  Would anyone be interested in joining me?
