Very cool RaraAvis!

Saturday, we had a show. I was super busy all day though so I didn't get a chance to take any pics. (It was the same location though as last weekend's exploratory visit to Dunedin though.) Sunday, we ran over to a comic book store, Emerald City. It was "Teen Titans" day so Aurora got her picture with Robin and Raven.

(Emerald City does these in store meets a lot so other visitors have gotten to meet various other superheroes like Iron Man, Winter Solider, and Batman. So they've all come to enjoy having my current LV get a pic. They usually wind up posting a pic to their facebook page too but they haven't uploaded that album yet. I'll try to update when they do.)

On the way home, I snapped a pic of the view crossing Bayside Bridge. You can't go far around the Bay Area without crossing water since Tampa Bay divides the two halves of the area.

Aurora was amused to find "Florida's Key Lime Pie" flavor Slurpee at 7-11. Grin

No, I didn't try it. Honestly, it didn't sound like the best idea for a Slurpee flavor to me, despite being very Florida!

3  Extra large wire wrapped tree of life SUNCATCHERS! in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by phoenixfiredesigns on: April 18, 2017 10:55:18 AM
I've had people asking me if I could make large versions for years, but the one time I tried, it was a mess because scaling up gets exponentially overwhelming really fast. A 1.5" pendant uses about 10 feet of wire, so you can imagine a 12" piece gets out of control really fast.

But, people have continued to inquire about it so I sat down and got thinking and I was able to invent an entirely different technique from the way I make the pendants to scale up and make giant 8", 10", and 12" versions of them! I'm thinking they would look great in a window or a backyard garden.

These were the first few I experimented with. I'll be trying some additional styles and variations moving forward.

(Rainbow cracked glass beads)

(Copper with crystal accents)

(Two tone pink/blue cracked glass beads)

(Red/gold glass beads)

(It looks awesome in a sunny window too!)

I'm working on a few more too. I'd like to develop the idea further. Thoughts & feedback appreciated!

Today, Aurora came with us to my husband's family's brunch for Easter.

She also joined in on the egg hunt. We found an egg up in the flowering vines:

Next weekend, we'll be vending at a new location so we went to check it out this weekend. It's in the little downtown heart of Dunedin. A nice little community in Pinellas County, just north of it's more famous neighboring city of Clearwater, Dunedin was founded by Scottish families. The name comes from Dn ideann, the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.  Grin

Which is why Aurora found this lovely gent to pose with:

We also found this art Dolphin (they're all around the area in different themes)

And she checked out the old Dunedin railroad station:

Aurora also found a Little Free Library and thought she'd take a look:

Afterwards, we REALLY needed to wash our car (it's been long overdue!) and Aurora was amused by the "tricolor" foam.

Aurora came with me as I ran over to one of the local malls. It's called "Citrus Park" and in case you didn't know that, they have a helpful, little sign to inform you. Cheesy

Mm...cheese! Grin Don't leave Clara alone with the cheese for long unless you want it to "mysteriously" disappear! Cheesy

This weekend Aurora was a big help because I had two separate shows back-to-back both Saturday and Sunday. I normally only do one, one-day show per weekend so it was busy!

Saturday, we were at Pierce Street Market which takes place right in downtown Clearwater on the waterfront by the Marina. This bridge in the background takes you to Clearwater Beach proper across the intracoastal waterway.

You can see the waterfront behind the row of tents on the left. My tent is 4 down on the same left side of this picture (just next to the one with the black top)

Sunday, we did a new-to-us market. I haven't been there before but they invited me in to "screen" me and see if they liked my booth and products. It's a great opportunity since they also do other markets I haven't been at yet as well, so it was an important day. It took place on the grounds of Hillsborough High School. (Hillsborough is the name of the county. It's most famous city within is Tampa.) The school was built in 1885!! It's gorgeous and I really want to come back and get some more photos one of these days.

(Down here, a lot of schools double as community hurricane shelters so they're squat, ugly, concrete block style without windows to help weather storms. My high school was one of those ugly evacuation shelters so this was a huge change of pace from where I went to school!)
edit: it's also historic and has it's own Wikipedia page! LOL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_High_School_(Tampa,_Florida)

Looking out from within the booth. I stared at the school on-and-off in between customers all day!  Wink

Tomorrow, we sleep in!

Aurora made it to Florida yesterday! Just in time for my epicly busy weekend. LOL I'm vending in TWO separate shows this weekend, so set up for a show Saturday, breakdown and then do it all again somewhere else Sunday. She's going to get to jump in with both feet being my helper. Wink

Last night, she got to meet my kitties.

Gracie wasn't feeling very social. Cheesy

But Ginger was curious and wanted to give Aurora a welcoming sniff:

So Clara knew she was heading back out on her next adventure Monday, so when we went with us to the final weekend of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival on Saturday, tagging along before her new adventure with Eamea starts! Cheesy

Now she's heading out today and ready for some new sights. Grin

Clara made it home from her stay with seeuudee in the UK a few days ago. Unfortunately, I discovered that I'm intolerant to a specific antibiotic the hard way so I've been sick for days and just now am getting a chance to post pics.

Here she is with a new friend from the Teddy Bear Museum, the photo album, papyrus bookmark and cartouche from King Tut museum, clotted cream fudge, magnet, fossil, and chocolate!

I love the fossil:

Clara went on a lot of adventures and saw a lot of historic places! seeuudee also had a really neat way of putting in the guides and information about each stop right into the book:

Thank you for being a lovely host!
