1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My fabric storage on: October 23, 2008 06:19:37 AM
I'm moving and I decided to use these comic book flats to help me pack my fabric.  It's fantastic!  Thanks so much for the idea.

Here's a shot of one box.  (I am currently up to six boxes.  Fabric much?)

It was so easy to do, and the comic book flats were like $7 at my local comic book store.

Thanks again!

This looks great! It really is so easy!

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Vol25 patterns, my first 2 embroideries on: October 07, 2008 08:43:02 AM
Thanks everyone!

I didn't think so either, as I see everyone using something called a tea towel which has a smooth surface.

Jessilynns work is so darling, I have many of her prints and the collection keeps growing.

vol25 came out with some new patterns of her artwork to embroider. I have her artwork and had to make some matching towels. I still have 2 more designs to go and thought I would share.

Again this is the first time I have ever hand embroidered and I am almost positive I used the wrong kind of towels lol I JUST LOVER HER WORK!

she has some free patterns on her flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/vol25embroidery/ you can see here original artwork here: http://vol25.etsy.com

I would love to do this as I have admired everyones tea towels from the past. But I haven't the slightest idea on how to hand embroider.  Cry
