31  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mommy Felt Doll on: July 18, 2008 02:33:58 PM
As always, I'm inspired by Loveandasandwich, esp. this post: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249676.0

So, I made a doll that represents me and my new Bebe.  Hope you like it!  Thanks loveandasandwich.  You rock!

32  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Hibiscus Bachelorette T-shirts on: July 18, 2008 02:25:08 PM
So, my friend is getting married soon, so us gals are throwing her a Bachelorette BBQ Pool Party.  Her wedding theme is hibiscuses (sp?).  So I made this t-shirt for her to wear during the party.  And, yes, that's glitter, ha-ha!

One of the games is a frozen t-shirt game:  You freeze wet, folded t-shirts and then you race to see who can get it unfrozen and put it on first.   I bought 12 used t-shirts at the thrift store and then made (many) Hibiscus stencils from freezer paper, putting the stencil in strategic places.  Here are 2 examples.

Hope you like the t-shirts and maybe you could use the t-shirt game idea, too!
33  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Beer Hops Stencil on: July 05, 2008 11:41:33 AM
My Hubby and I love beer, alot.  He asked me to make a t-shirt with hops on it.  So, although I don't yet have a pic of the finished project, I thought I would share my drawing for the stencil.  It fits on a full piece of typing paper.  I printed it out onto freezer paper to make the t-shirt.  Enjoy and use it well!

34  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hippie Elephant on: January 12, 2008 04:13:40 PM
I'm totally riding on the Elephant Plushie Bandwagon.  This is the pattern that's posted here, so it's not really all that original.  But, I really like the colors and flowers.

As a side note and/or word of advice:  when resizing your pattern on your computer, don't just randomly resize before printing.  Make sure you keep the same scale or aspect ratio.  I had a bit of a time learning that the hard way. Grrrr...

35  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Ghosties on: January 12, 2008 04:01:36 PM
I was inspired by all of the little monster felties that have been made recently.  However, DH thought these looked more like Pac-Man's ghosts.  I put little chains on them so they can be used as key-chains.  So, here they are, dancing around.  Hope you like them!

36  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Uglydoll knock-off on: October 19, 2007 08:17:59 AM
I really wanted an uglydoll (uglydoll.com) for my baby-to-be, but, as a craftster, I thought I could do it myself.

It was hard to turn the antennae inside-out b/c I made them too skinny, and then it was really hard to stuff them with poly-fill, even using a pencil.  At first I didn't know what to think of it,  But it's really growing on me.  It's made with flannel.  No name, but it reminds me of Macaroni-and-Cheese.

Thanks for looking!
37  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Nephew calls it Nemo... on: April 22, 2007 09:23:14 AM
Here is the stuffed fish I made for my nephew.

The fish is about 10 inches long and 5 inches tall.  The back is just plain orange because I got lazy.  I had planned on making it 2-sided as you can see, the spots on the tail are the exact size as the eyes.  hmmmm, fishy....

Can't wait for the felt challenge.  I'm getting some ideas around here!
38  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / More Stuffed Owl Goodness on: March 26, 2007 09:03:21 AM
As my first post, I wanted to share my take on the stuffed-owl mania sweeping the forum!  (My inspiration came from the cute pink Valentine's Day owl)

He's holding a removable stuffed heart in his wing:
