12 FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Aye aye! on: March 23, 2017 05:59:55 PM
One of my favorite animals (I have quite a few).
So wonderfully odd and adorably ugly ❤

Needle felted on a wire frame.

And to balance the cute-ugly with cute-cute -a little fawn!

... I just love felting animals - from odd to adorable - although, to me, the uglier = the cuter Cheesy

14 MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My neverending Don Quixote painting. on: March 23, 2017 05:48:39 PM
When my dear husband asked me to make a huge somber Don Quixote painting with his scrawny horse and fields, I dove into the challenge and thought "why not?".

What I learned- painting a human, horse and a landscape all in 1 is quite the challenge. Also - trying to capture someone else's vision is not always easy.

I think it turned out good.
I think it's about 40" wide and finally ready to get framed.

Thanks so much, everyone! ❤❤❤❤

And yes - the sculptures all have wool in them - somehow I can't make anything without armature these days 😁

And I love seeing your updates on IG as well, PerfectlyBohemian! Makes me so hungry 😁. And I try to be better about posting here and browsing here as well. Can't wait to be done with moving my studio room and having better structured days Smiley

Thank you! 🌞
Maybe focus on how it's just lamb's wool and you're just making plushies from it?
