This is simply beautiful work! I have this project lined up next for myself, after I finish x-stitching a dark mark for my roomie, but I was wondering how many packets of floss you used for each color?  I always end up buying enough until I get to the final 5% of the project, it's so frustrating!
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Wegman's Ready Made food.... on: August 04, 2009 04:34:35 PM
mmmm wegmans.  I go to school near buffalo and I live at wegmans.  We don't have any near where I live (CT) but I agree, they're readymade is delicious.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / dpn gaps? on: June 25, 2009 12:43:49 PM
so I've used dpns to knit alot of things, mainly with a heavier weight yarn, but I'm attempting my first pair of socks and I keep getting this ridiculous gaps between the needles.

see the gaps?

how can I prevent this? use an extra needle? tighten my tension? any help would be greatly appreciated!

thank you!!

Knitted up this really cute baby cardigan for my friend jessica who is expecting a little boy soon.  I made the 6 month size because by the time he's 6 months, it'll be late fall early winter and this will just be a perfect addition. I used a little over 1 ball of lion's cotton in sagebrush I believe it was called and I found the pattern on lionsbrand.com.

back - I love the little peak hood!

love this color combination

thanks for looking!

Thats really cute. I am teaching myself cable stitch at the moment and lace is my next challenge I want to try. I might have to use this pattern.

good luck on the cables! they're much more intimidating than they actually are.  This was a really simple lace project, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

red really is your color! good job!

thanks! I've never been a huge fan of red but now I just might need to start wearing more of it.
