11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / The Pen Pal Swap!! on: November 30, 2004 04:32:50 PM
Here's how this swap would go...Say there are peopel a, b, c, d, and e. Person A would send the starting letter decorating it and such as they please, with a specified craft to person b-> person b would write about what they got, a note, and they would send their craft to person c.. and so on and so forth.. like a little ring.

Just a thought... but it does seem a little confusing now that I think of it.
12  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Website Board? on: November 21, 2004 10:53:18 AM
I've seen so many people on craftster making sites, or owning them for the selling and presenting of their crafts. Maybe in the Buisness section there could be a wesite sharing/ helping board? People could help others make sites. Then this sparked another idea..

Although it may be costly, but maybe craftser could provide sitemaking? Maybe for a price, or specific qualities [ie being on craftster for over 6 monthes..] people could have a site..like..www.greenfish.craftster.org.

More publicity for craftster, webbies for us?

Just a thought that came to me..  Grin
13  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Handmade paper..how does one do it!? on: November 11, 2004 07:24:07 AM
I get a general jist.... with paper pulp, a glue or something, and something to flatten the paper and dry it out.. very general. Cheesy.. But how do you, experts at the craft.. make handmade paper!? I don't want to mess it up..and I see paper all over me...

14  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Earring Swap??? on: October 30, 2004 09:04:18 AM
I've never done a swap before, but I researched it, and since I make earrings, and have seen soo many other crafters make beautiful earrings, how about a earring swap!? We would choose a topic and make earrings (or clip earrings, as I don't have pierced ears Sad ) and swap. Anyone up for this?? (It's really simple obvioulsy, but if it works out, it could really turn out into something fun!!)
15  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / What sells best? on: July 01, 2004 07:25:47 PM
Ok! So I've always had the crafty touch but I finally stole my mom's sewing machine and made my room into a sewing disaster with everything all over the place.. and with my visits to good will and such.. and diggin through by gradpas basement for wooden buttons.. I am now overwhelmed with everything!
I'm 16 and havent got a word from any places I've applied to for work so I am deciding to try and make money from my crafts. I can make purses (the simpler ones... I dont want to mess anything up on the more difficult patterns) and I love making brooches and pins.. but I don't know what I should invest in inorder to make a profit later on. What do YOU guys make which is a best seller. Right now I am in a creative mode where i want to rush to the local craft store and buy things to make jewelry and bags and everything.. I can't though..lol. Please help me out??
And also, where can I sell my goods? I want to sell some at cutxpaste.. but I want to make a batch of my favorite items and see if they're any good..any other places that are free? Other than ebay (underage) Thanks.. and sorry for the long crazy post. Grin
