1  bag constructing advice in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by herbstnebel on: September 28, 2011 07:22:39 AM
I have this bag which's design I really love its simple and clean - but the colour is a little to flashy for every day and its also too small to fit everything i usually carry around ^^

so since someone gave me this beautiful, lush, diviiiine leather swatches (am i overdoing it with the praise - i love it!)  I think it would be perfect and i already found a nice lining as well. The bag is quite simple in its design, and i feel confident about making a simmilar one, adjusting the pattern to make it bigger and a little rounder maybe ...

but i really dont know how i would start sewing it O_O

fist the lining, then the zipper, then the base, then handles?
or first the handles, then the bottom and then the zipper?
im really not sure, and i know that leather is not very forgiving with mistakes, so I would be soo greatful for advice, suggestions and ideas!!!

2  fleamarket book in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by herbstnebel on: February 16, 2009 11:56:39 AM
i found this really cute french book for rumanian learners at the flea market and just had to buy it!
since i speak neither french nor rumanian i took it apart and sewed different kinds of paper and canvas as well as some pages of the book together to make myself a new sketchbook. I also added two bookmarks (one is never really enough for me ^.^) and a bow to keep it closed (made it a bit too full)
i just love it! never tried booksewing before, its so much fun, the whole cutting and sewing and glueing, definitely something ill try again =D

~~thanks for looking ^.^
