Um, that's "pedal-pushers." Because you can ride your bike in them and not worry about getting pants stuck in the chain.
I know, I'm a dork.

Hahaha! I think you're probably right.

And I did that once, got my pant leg stuck in my bike chain that is. Those darn flare jeans.

The first time I'd ever heard of any sort of cropped pants (several years ago), I was told they were called pedal-pushers. And when I found out that they were actually called capris, I was a bit disappointed. I liked calling them peddle-pushers. So these are my pedal-pushers.

Whenever I shopped for jeans, I always had to go to particular stores in town to get any that were long enough (that is, unless I wanted to look like I was expecting a flood). And with this thing I've been doing (only buying used clothing), I had little hope of ever finding any that fit (and I haven't, yet). But! I got an idea of a way to utilize those jeans that, had I been 3 inches shorter, would have fit perfectly!

Very easy to do, and I simply love how these came out!
I cut off the leg about 4 inches below the knee, made the cuff, and then stitched, from the inside, along the top of the cuff to keep it in place.

That is super cute! Looks really well constructed. I would definitely buy one, if I was not the kind of person who would make her own.

They all look great! I love the second one, white with blue and yellow flowers. Super cute with the red flats!
