1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / As If I Need Another Bag.... on: July 03, 2009 11:08:19 AM
...but I had some great Robert Kaufman fabric laying around.  I had to put it to good use right?  I also had great tortoise shell handles and vintage buttons. So, this is what I came up with.

I am pretty happy with the end result.  Grin
2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Who's Got An Ashford?? on: January 11, 2009 04:57:20 PM

I purchased a "Kiwi" Ashford spinning wheel when I was on vacation in Santa Fe this past June.  I love it!

Here is a bit of what I have been working on. Most some is Corridale and some is Merino.

Spinning is so much fun!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Happy Birthday Violet on: February 24, 2008 03:35:48 PM
For my niece's 4th birthday, I made her some felt food.

Yummy cookies, almost good enough to eat!:

This pattern I made myself...pretty easy...not really brain science, ha!  Grin

And the ultimate pizza!:

I used a pattern that I purchased from http://www.feltcuisine.com/. It really helped me to understand the process of making felt food.  Now I think I will be able to come up with my own patterns.  Felt food is just so fun to make and addictive!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Guest Bedroom Makeover...long over due! on: February 24, 2008 03:26:26 PM
Well, after 3 years of living in my house, I finally got around to making over my guest room.  I have to say it turned out just how I wanted it to.  It is a bit shabby and a bit chic.

If you wanna play a little game, you can play "where's the kitty?"

Pardon the mess. I let the room "go" about a week before the makeover.

ahem...pardon the rum and coke too.  Wink

It is amazing what a few coats of paint can do along with some new mini blinds!  I think I am going to re-do my craft room next!
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Sally Costume for Halloween on: November 06, 2007 05:46:30 PM
For Halloween I my boyfriend thought of the idea for us to be Sally and Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas.  I searched for Sally dresses and could not find one I liked. So, I decided I would make my costume.  I think it turned out really well for my first time ever making a dress, or a costume at that!

Needless to say, it was a fun Halloween!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Trick or Treat Tote on: October 04, 2007 06:05:41 PM
I found the cutest halloween fabric while out shopping with my sister.  I thought  it would be fun to make trick or treat bags for all the little one's in my life.  This is my first one:

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Amy's on: September 06, 2007 05:45:27 PM
This is a little bag I made a few weeks ago.  I love the way it turned out.  It was my first experience using Amy Butler fabric, which is probably why I love it so much.  I also used an Amy Karol pattern from her fantastic book, Bend the Rules Sewing. Here is the finished product.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Weekend Market Bag on: August 02, 2007 01:12:10 PM
I have been wanting to make a market bag for some time now.  I finally got around to it the other night.  This is my first attempt.  I think it turned out pretty well.  There are some things I want to do to fine tune the next one to make it even better but I thought I would post the pictures of this one.

It is made out of a thick muslin cloth.  The interior fabric is cute print of various peppers.  I included a big pocket on the inside for holding bottles and such.  There is a pocket on the outside for a wallet or zipper pouch.

I think I am going to make a matching zipper pouch to go with it.

Now, I just need to go to the market!  Thanks for looking.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knitted earrings on: May 09, 2007 08:15:01 PM
I wanted to post a few earrings that I have been making.  I originally made them for a swap and liked them so much that I kept on making them (to match various outfits  Grin).

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shrinky Dink Earrings on: March 20, 2007 08:30:07 PM
Hello there.  I know there is alot of shrinky dink stuff out there and I did not know where to post this so I started another topic.  So, I have been addicted to shrinky dinks for the past few weeks, fascinated by the little things I am.  I made a bunch of earrings yesterday and I wanted to post the pictures.  The martini glasses are my favorite. Ah, the possibilities, I cannot wait to make more! Happy crafting! I have to give credit to my fellow shrinky dink craftsters.  I made the owl and cupcake earrings after a few fellow craftsters.  I will search for the links and post them so you can see how fantastic theirs are!
