3  Re: A gallery for a swap for knitters!!! in The Swap Gallery by thragegarden on: May 17, 2008 01:28:20 PM
I got an awesome package from Spirals420-  I love knitting and knitting packages and yarn!  I am so happy!   It couldn't have come at a better time.  It has been the worst possible week at work!  So... On to the pics!

I have wanted this book forever!  A wisty surprise!  I have already started on one of the projects.

This needle roll is beautiful!  The colors are perfect.  It's huge so I can fit all of those oversized needles I have.  The embroidery on the outside is beautiful too.
This is one of my favorite things in life right now.

There was so much awesome yarn in the box I dint know how everything else fit.  I had been wanting to try wool and other fibers I hadn't tried... so now I get to.  I love it all!

And because I need to get in the habit of taking notes on items I knit and things I see and craft, a note book, super cute pencils (I love writing with them too!!) and handy fold up scissors!
You can also see some of the fabric that came with it.  I didn't want to overload the pics... but its awesome fabric.

I am so thankful to my awesome partner!

I dont know how I forgot to get a picture or even mention it (probably cause I was already wearing it!)  Sprials420 also sent me one of her awesome slouchy hats that I love!  It's the most beautiful color of green to go with my new red hair.  I am in love with it.  I have hardly taken it off yet.  i will get a picture soon.

4  Re: Yarnies Scavenger Hunt Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by thragegarden on: March 20, 2008 06:14:32 AM
So I had heard that my partner Tanzie was a great one.  I guess I didnt realize how great...

This was the first thing I saw when I opened the box... I have been wanting to buy it so badly! Senders Choice-

- and I have already started a project from it!

Something Green- Represented by the four seasons.  These are so beautiful!

Something Hard- This is my favorite yarn!! She says it is so HARD to do anything with.

Something "T" related- My new Team pin cushion!  I am in love!  I loved the one received in this swap earlier... but I love mine more!  Go Colts!  I am suprized she could find Colts fabric in Miami.

Something Funny- My favorite... I am drinking one right now and I didnt have any stitch markers... can you believe how perfect these are!

Something Local- Miami flamingo!  Its my favorite color

I think that brings me to my favorite of all- something round.
Its a beautiful sterling silver charm bracelette.  It has the most perfect charms!  I wish I could get a better picture.

Thanks so much Tanzie!  I was like a kid in a candy store!

8  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 21 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by thragegarden on: May 05, 2007 04:04:15 PM
Hi everyone!  This week I received 2 of my wishes (in 2 days!) from raynbow and chrissiemags.
From raynbow- It was going to be a suprise... and it was!  I received the most awesome (get your wist buttons ready) knitted bikini.  Yep, as in bathing suit for all of my pool parties this summer!
I put the action shot in links... it's sort of revealing...  Wink

From Chrissiemags-
She wanted to send me some fabric.  I asked for polka dots and stripes.  I LOVE every piece that she sent!  She also raided her stash of jewelery findings!  On to pics...

Thanks again guys~

9  Black Tweed (winter coat) and Pink Sweater Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by thragegarden on: March 27, 2007 12:05:45 PM
Like many fellow craftsters I use ALL of my scraps for projects.
This purse came from scraps of fabric that I made my winter coat out of (tweed) and from a friend's birthday purse.  Oh and pink satin inside.
It is based on a pattern, but the pattern was altered quite a bit.

Let me know what you think!

10  B&W Summer Tank - Bring on the heat! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by thragegarden on: March 27, 2007 11:53:58 AM
So, summer is just around the corner and like many fellow craftsters, I have been dreaming up new summer clothes!
This one happens to have been for a swap, but I got enough fabric for another!
*I hope my swap partner doesnt mind me using her "action" shot.*

The back top portion laces up. =)

This was also in the March personal swap gallery.
Let me know what you think!

**The top is a pattern (vogue 8079).  The pattern is super easy and flattering!  The fabric came from Jo Ann Fabrics (clearance section) $2 a yard.  Thanks for all of the sweet comments!**
