11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: 9th Doctor Who-pla on: January 13, 2017 05:09:10 PM
Thanks everyone! I got the pattern from bombastitch on Etsy.

The 9th Doctor is my most favorite.  I did this hoopla of him.  He's in an 8" hoop.

He was really fun to stitch, but he took more than a whole skein of black floss!

Here's my entry for the hoopla-along.  The 9th Doctor.

I like the idea of themes like favorite TV show or video game. Or maybe some kind of fantasy theme. Possibly a pattern of your own design theme?

Interestingly, the gun was an actual DMC kit that we found at a craft consignment store.

My husband and I went a little crazy and decided to make most people's Christmas gifts this year.  This, of course, includes hooplas since we love our cross stitch.

My husband made this one for our friends.

He also made this little Pooh ornament for his sister.

And I made this one for my brother, who is a gunsmith.

My mom loves those free cross stitch patterns from Country Living.  They're cute, but super boring to stitch.  Knowing she'd probably ask me to do this one for her anyway, I decided to make it one of her Christmas presents. Also it's my entry for the hoopla-along.

Thanks everyone! He found the image online and I used my software to make the pattern.

Continuing his dark Disney stitching, my husband's latest cross stitch is Goofy's mug shot.  I think he did a great job!  It fits in an 8x10 frame.

I still haven't talked him into making his own craftster account.  C & C is welcome because he likes to see what people think of his work.
