251  Re: Poppet Outfits Only! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: April 29, 2009 09:27:44 PM
I think all of my Wists are from Craftster and Etsy.

OK, here's another.  Its Craftewoman's halter dress, nothing fancy, but I wanted to show off the cool fabric.  LOL.

The back

Isn't it awesome fabric?  I'm in love with it.

Here's Emiko's newest outfit.

I tried to get a close-up of the necklace, but the lighting is really bad right now so I couldn't get a good one.

253  Re: circus poppets w.i.ps in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by amigurl55 on: April 28, 2009 10:49:39 PM
Here's my circus poppet so far.

I'm not sure I like the skirt.  I might do something else for the bottoms.  I like the sparkly stuff, but its hard to work with and I don't think I could make pants with it.  The poppet is missing a vest, shoes, and obviously a head.  I'm waiting for some eyes so I can't really do much with the head.

Thank you very much!  And even though I'm sick and feel like poo, I managed to finish this outfit today.

Real denim jeans!

Close up of shoes.  I made them from thick foam (the stuff you find in the kid's aisle at Michael's) and fabric scraps.

OMG, I just made the cutest p.j.'s!

Sorry for the crap picture.  The lighting in my house sucks.  The fabric is a lot more colorful than in the picture.

256  Cute Crocheted Doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: April 19, 2009 09:01:56 AM
I can post this now because my partner in the "make me a doll swap" received.

I got the pattern from amillee on Etsy.

Just the doll

Isn't she cute?  I was sad to see her go.

257  Snow Queen Poppet in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: April 18, 2009 03:15:28 PM
This idea came to me in a blinding flash one day.  So I got to sewing.  She originally had white eyelashes, but it kind of made her look like an old man with bushy white eyebrows.

With cape:

Close up of head with hood down:

Without cape (she's a boobie poppet!):

The dress makes her look kind of fat, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing that.  Maybe I'll give her a belt or sash or something.  I made the cape myself looking at a cape from a doll in my collection.  The dress is a slightly modified easy-peasy dress.

What do you think?

I got the pattern from FunkyFriendsFactory on Etsy.

Charlie wasn't too difficult, but I had problems on his beak.  In fact, I've made 3 Charlies.  This is the third, and his beak was the first to turn out right.

Isn't he cute?

260  R. Dorothy Wainwright in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by amigurl55 on: April 15, 2009 07:17:12 PM
Yeah, I'm an anime geek.  Dorothy is one of my favorite characters in general, so I crocheted a Dorothy doll.

Sorry for the not-so-great picture.  Its kind of dark in my house.

So, how'd I do?
