It started when I was looking through information about abortion and what I really thought about it.  My general thoughts came to that, for most cases, it was taking like for convenience (and not for the sake of the mother or the wellbeing of the child).  Then I asked myself why it would be alright for me to kill an animal for food when it would be just as easy to get something not animal derived.  I haven't eaten meat since.

This also set me off into research of the health benefits of vegetarianism, which is probably what has helped keep me vegetarian and not from "growing out" of it, like people said I would.
