2081  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: A Green Idea Chain Game 2010 on: November 11, 2010 08:07:33 PM
The vases? Use them together as a centerpiece. Fill them with the same flowers, or different. Or, can you use those small floating candles in any of them? Add white candles of various sizes to the arrangement-the water and clear glass should reflect nicely with the candles. You may not need to use flowers, or not many, if you do that.
Or, if you need to give someone a little present, buy some inexpensive flowers, put them in the vase, maybe tie a ribbon around it, and give them away like that. Put one in a window, with water and a plant-you can grow philodendron and ivy in water, probably other stuff, too.I used to have a vase with ivy on my dresser, and it grew up and around my mirror-I bobby pinned it around the frame. Smiley Years ago....

What do I do with various sizes of clear light bulbs that I don't need for anything I own?
The size of a standard incandescent for the largest, and couple half that size, and a few night light sized.

Ralph, when you find out where, let me know. I need to stock up on time to craft, too!  Grin heck, I'd pay extra shipping for that!

Been slightly down because something always seems to take up my days off. Life got hectic suddenly. But today I covered a dollar store item with the first layer of paper and glue. It's amazing what a mood brightener having paint and glue on your hands is.  Smiley Hoping the prototype turns out well!
And I had a nice thrift store trip today. I found something nifty and unusual, if I can just brainstorm the best way to use it.
And I bought a block of polyclay, which I have hopes for. If the ideas in my head translate well...we'll see.

Bubble wrap. Someone on here made window curtains of it-it looked really nifty. Gave privacy, let light in. Or just stick some directly to the window.
Here's a link to just putting it on the window-water was all she used!

I have one too! Mine's a tree and a cabin in the woods, it came from a yard sale years ago-I've had it at least 25 years. I've wondered about it just like you. The reverse glass painting is so cool.
I love how yours look, and the paint job you did on the frames.

It was, and I did. Found a couple of items at the dollar stores that may work very well for something nifty! I'll try a prototype wednesday.

Have most of my supplies, and most of my ideas. I still want another shopping trip. Smiley
Finished a long work week, and longer days off (yard sale, clearing brush-darn rose shrub drove a thorn through my fingernail!) Wednesday should be play day!

Finally finished painting the house! I know what I'm making, now I just need a day off work to really get started.
Wheeeee!
Super busy week. Next day off is wednesday. But I'm going shopping sunday before work.
