Bummer that you needed a replacement partner, but super bonus to get Phizzychick as your replacement. What an excellent bundle of book-lovin' goodness! Love the bookmarks and the painting!

There was some talk before about the produce bags - here we are making our reusable fabric grocery  bags and are stuck putting our produce in to plastic at the stores...

I just happened upon this and thought I would share... I will be getting tulle next time I am at Walmart...

Thanks for the link! I have a set of bags made for a birthday gift last September...I still have them Tongue  So, I may add in a set of produce bags, as well. And, maybe some meat bags if I can decide on what to use for material...

PeachesEveryday- That bluebird is adorable, as are the little bears! And, I always admire folks who can do such neat things with polymer clay on such a small scale.

lucy van pelt- That's such a cute jar cover! And, I love that Christmas stamp (American Lung Association?) and the Kwik-E-Mart sign. Looks like there are lots of other goodies in there, too!

lapoli- What a cool collection of goodies! I love the miniatures and the neat fibers. Cool key and buttons, too!

Maybe Arizona is a little postal zone Bermuda triangle Wink

Hmmm...you may be right Grin

My jar from Aimee_Ant123 has been taking a tour of the US - I expect it to zero in on my house any day now. Cheesy

Tee-hee! In a recent swap, a package sent to me took a side trip from Indiana to Arizona before heading to Massachusetts. I guess it was looking for some warm weather for a bit Wink
7656  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Practice Macro Photos (img heavy) on: April 26, 2008 08:31:34 AM
Well, after entering and then perusing the Macro Photo Challenge, I decided that I needed to play around with my camera a bit more. I let the camera do most of the work, but I think there is a way for me to exert a little more control...I'll just have to find the manual and do a bit of reading Wink

Anyway, here are some of my favorites out of the dozen or so that I took. And, I realized that one drawback to macro photos is that they make the dust look macro too!

Yoda Toy (still in package)

Eileen "heart" Stan (This is etched into the glass of one of the windows of my house...from the original owner, I think...because the family I bought it from didn't have an Eileen or a Stan...)

My pile of watches

Tree Cookies (slices of tree trunks)

Pencil Sharpener

Light Switch (my house is in the middle of work...)

Q-tips

Pine Cone

K'nex Guy

Green Bottle

I didn't manipulate any of these photos. I have Photoshop, but I don't really know how to use it  Tongue
7657  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ APR on: April 26, 2008 07:57:37 AM
Neat squares, Puppy_girl! And, I bet if you steal a technique from an earlier square, you could make a smaller square bigger.

Sorcha, your square looks great! It looks like it will go really well with the squares we have already done. I've learned so much from crocheting each square- maybe one day I'll make one of my own, too!

More amazing jars! Again, I love how they look all packed up in the jar with little bits visible. But, I also love how cool they look when photographed in little artistic bunches. so cute!

And, panda, it was so sweet of you to send mini jars for your partner's kids!
7659  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: a handful of armadillos on: April 26, 2008 07:34:15 AM
These guys are so cute (the sunglasses rock)! I love the picture of them laying siege on the castle wall!

One of these days, my website mascots will be an armadillo and an iguana...you may have nudged me into working on that Wink

Can they roll into a ball when attacked?
