Fantastic tree! Man, I so didn't think outside the box for this. But, I'm almost finished! So, I'll be sending tomorrow morning. Yay!

I just ruined the pants and shirt I'm wearing at the moment for this swap,
Hence my commitment Wink

Hah! But, with Taz as your partner, I think you won't regret it! She's awesome!

Ha! I think mine have plenty of room...large expanse of cotton to work with...

And, I guess I really need to drop some pounds- I went to a concert last night and went to buy a shirt. I wanted the women's shirt (cool purple color) and it was the fitted style. I asked for an XL, and the woman gave me a flick of a glance as if to say, "Not going to fit!" and I said, "It'll fit soon!" and she chuckled and said, "It'd fit now, it'd just be tight!" I guess I should have been insulted, but it was actually kind of funny! So, when I get back to work in a couple of weeks (and won't be sitting at home snacking), I'll start.

Whoo-hoo! I just got my partner, and I accidently figured out who it was. I didn't try, it just sort of popped into my head! So now, I'll be making the pouch (and possibly trying a new technique) and sending on Monday!

Yay!

As I was heading to the store yesterday to get the item to complete my set, I realized that I would have a technical difficulty. So, I thought about it  some more and this morning as I was waking up (AKA hitting the snooze for a bit), I thought of my alternative! Yay!

Thanks for clarifying that! I had something to add to my item that goes with it to make it a set. But I wasn't sure if that was okay. Now I know I can go ahead and try it!

Before we had sign ups I was really concerned because I didn't know how we were gonna make the right panties, like the right size and style. I was thinking that I really wanted pretty panties, but I wanted to have ones I like the fit of, and I didn't want to send used undies to a stranger. It caused me some stress. I was glad to see that we were just supposed to buy our own new ones.

haha! Sometimes I stress myself over the silliest things, and the answer is so simple, when it comes to me, it knocks me right in the head! Grin

Cheesy I do that too... I always have to go the longest way to get to the most logical answer!

Me too! And I always feel like such an idiot! At my conference last week, I needed to check out by 6 pm and didn't know how I was going to pack up, get to my car (can't walk too fast right now), and get to the office before it closed. And, I had materials to return to someone. When I found her to return them, she said, "Why don't you just leave your door unlocked (dorm housing), go turn in your key, then come back and pack it up?" And someone else suggested I take the trolley to my car, and park it right outside the dorm (I didn't realize we could park there...). So, with 2 sentences, my stress level went down to almost zero. I checked out with 5 minutes to spare!

HA!  I've got a friend who has been talking about "hipster PDAs" for a year now.  That's awesome!
Well that means that someone will be able to use it! Whew!

I've never heard of them before but I can put it to use! lol. Anything with paper in it gets used. Smiley
It's a very low-tech version of a Palm Pilot. To be 100% authentic, it's supposed to be held together with a rubber band or a binder clip, but I really like the Chicago screw.

Neat-O, craftADDchick (lol, my hands almost said craftASS there  Cheesy )  I like it Smiley

Actually, craftASSchick was supposed to be my username, but I typed it wrong...kidding Wink

I love your work, and I'd love to know where you got the book from. I love realistic insects like that and mantids particularly are my favorite.

I love this as well! So, I took a look at the StoryQuilts website (storyquilts.com) and found the pattern. I ordered one and it should be on it's way soon! And someday, I'll get around to making it Wink

Ma Rut, your dolls are simply stunning! I can't believe the amount of stitching you did! And, I love how you made each one relate to something special about each of your partners. Beautiful job!!
