I am packing up the bag of stuff that I'm taking with me tomorrow- I have a ton of projects to work on for school, but I'll be doing some ball winding as it gets late in the evening!

So, I'll be gone all day tomorrow (I might check in before I leave), so if you send me a PM, I won't be able to get to it until Sunday morning.

I'm checking in, and I hope I'll be working on things this weekend. We had International Night at school last night, then I had to prepare 2 video presentations for the school committee meeting coming up on Monday (and I may have to actually do the presentation... I hope not!!!), then I have to get ready for our Science Sleuth night on Thursday! So, this weekend, I'll be designing a model for a "make & take" hermit crab, working on the same for a turtle (thank goodness the horseshoe crab is already done). Then, I have to make sexual dimorphism example signs for the bathrooms (which isn't as perverted as it sounds... it's the differences between males and females... like a male elk has antlers, but a female doesn't, a male cardinal is red, but a female is mostly tan, etc.). And, prepare my exhibit displays. And, cut and assemble a paper model of a T-rex. And make 2 horseshoe crab t-shirts...

Holy crap! It just hit me how much I have to do... and I just realized I haven't even had dinner yet...

So, I'm really hoping I get to work on my swap stuff at some point!!

Cool mask! It would be awesome for a wood sprite costume!!

And...

I updated status for folks in my group. I'm still waiting to hear from a few folks about sending, but if your status is incorrect, please let me know. I'll be out of town on Saturday, but I can make changes first thing on Sunday.

Thanks a bunch!

I'm going to be winding my little balls up soon so that I can send out soon after partners are sent. I got a yarn-ball winder, so whoever I send to will be getting lil' cakes! Smiley

Another thing that comes in handy... I taped my tape measure to my desk at 3 ft. (approx. 1 yard) and just counted out 10 lengths the last time before winding the balls. I think I did like... 10.5 or something just to be sure. Smiley

I have a ball winder, but someone in the last round said the amount was too small, so I didn't try it. Let me know if yours works- I may try it in the future!

And, brilliant idea to put the tape measure on the table. Much easier than winding it around a box!!

And, we're getting more swappers! Yay!!
6806  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: 2 Layer No Cutting Towel Topper Pattern on: November 13, 2008 07:00:53 PM
Thanks for posting this and providing the pattern! I wanted to make a few of these for Christmas gifts, so it's especially timely. And, I agree, having to cut and sew the top of the towel is a pain, but having a double layered towel is a bonus!

Thanks again!

about the time my hubby starts to feel like it is too much going on, I get a package with something in it for him or that he can use, and he feels a bit better for a while.

I think of something for him to get and ask for that from my partner every so often, and I will get things for one of the girls every so often, so he doesn't feel like it is just me - which reduces his angst about postage  Wink

Blessings!

Very clever! Is there a trinket that could be sent along with this swap? Just so more yarn will be allowed in the house?  Wink

That tree painting is fabulous! But I also love the stamps and the embroidery, too Wink

Awesome bag! I have a large collection of bags, and I just love them!

I love the snowflake fabric she used Wink

And, I just checked the DC# on my package... it has arrived in the state of its destination! So, it might get delivered tomorrow!
