391  Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along in Crochetalongs by craftADDchick on: May 14, 2010 06:04:33 PM
I've got 3 more made plus a dish scrubbie! I made them for the dishalicious dishcloth swap.

This is the Zipper Square:

This is the Chain Stitch Facecloth:

This is my own pattern based on the Fibonacci Sequence. It's basically just rows of single crochet in a pattern of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13.

And then I made a tulle dish scrubbie, which doesn't count towards my total...

So now, my total is 24! Yay!

392  Re: Dishalicious Dishcloth/Washcloth Swap Rd 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by craftADDchick on: May 13, 2010 06:42:15 PM
I received from Vdbonnett! And they are awesome! I definitely can't pick a favorite, that's for sure!

This first one has such a great stitch pattern; if I made a larger version, it'd make a great blanket.

The next one has a lovely nubby texture that doesn't show well in the photo, and because of the variegated yarn, it has a cool design in it, too! Grin

And finally, one that is almost too lovely to use! It looks like a flower!

Thanks, Victoria! And thanks again, Sejimara, for organizing!

PS Vdbonnett included the pattern links in her note, but I can't find it in my pile of mail. Once I dig it out tomorrow night, I'll post the info for anyone who is interested Wink

393  Re: Granny Daughter Round 6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by craftADDchick on: May 13, 2010 06:34:31 PM
koalascout, that's a great array of colors! You've got some especially nice variegateds in there. I'm thinking my next batch of GDs will have to be a variegated mish-mash...

myklia, I like how you've done the next round. It sets off the GD center nicely!

And, here are my awesome GDs from MiLady! They managed to escape the clutches of the volcano and arrived rather quickly. And, she sent me some Kinder Surprise eggs (and some Cadbury chocolates, too), which I totally love, but can't get here in the US. So, extra thanks for those!

Most of the solids will end up in my GD blanket, while the rest will end up in the scarf. My joining of the GDS project is slowly moving up the to-do list Wink

Thanks a bunch, MiLady, and thanks again, myklia, for organizing!

394  Re: ACTIVE: Granny-A-Day Crochet-Along MAY! in Crochetalongs by craftADDchick on: May 02, 2010 04:36:12 PM
Here are my May 1st & 2nd squares! I'm going to make an Inga bag with them. They're made with brown Lion Brand cotton and I used an E hook (which is in the picture). I don't think my bag will be very big, but I didn't feel like doing 7 rounds. And, I made them with one color because I didn't want to weave in extra ends. So, I guess I should dub this the Lazy Inga Bag Wink

395  Re: 2010 12" Squares CAL- May in Crochetalongs by craftADDchick on: April 30, 2010 06:14:53 PM
Happy (early) May Day! I'll be out of town, so I'm posting the square tonight. It's Eternal Braid by Chris Simon. It has one unusual bit, but it isn't difficult and it's clearly explained. There's a minor pattern correction (see first post), but I think everything else is good (any mistakes I made were due to crocheting while tired and/or watching TV).

I love the center of this motif!

396  Re: ACTIVE: Granny-A-Day crochet-along for April - start 04/01/10 in Crochetalongs by craftADDchick on: April 18, 2010 03:22:18 PM
I've got pictures! Finally! I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner... The pictures are a bit dark, but they're all I have.

So, here's the "afghan" in all of it's glory before...

Lovely, no? No... definitely, no...

And here is where it is falling apart...

And here is the beginning of the pile of squares that have been cut out, alongside the pile of the black yarn that I cut them out of...

There is black fuzz everywhere!

I'll post a few more progress pictures (glued ends, added rounds) later...

397  Re: 2010 12" Squares CAL- April in Crochetalongs by craftADDchick on: March 31, 2010 06:22:46 PM
Since I've had enough March showers (and torrential, flooding rains) to last me for the entire month of April, I thought I'd bring May's flowers in early!

Here's Tiptoe Through the Tulips, and I have to admit, I was so focused on checking the pattern that I didn't even realize that I was making little tulips in my block. In my defense, it didn't help that my leaf/stem row was in white instead of green Wink

The picture isn't the greatest, but it was 9 PM when I took it. If the sun really does come out tomorrow, I'll try to take a better photo.

Super minor correction listed in first post...

The sun finally decided to shine during a time that I was home to take pictures! So, I present my second Willow and a Daisy Chain:

The Willow was made while I was on vacation and I only had a limited supply of yarn, but I like the color combo. And, for the Daisy Chain, the colors are very similar to a suggested color scheme in the 200 Crochet Blocks book. I really like it and could see a whole blanket made in these colors.

Two more for me!

#20: Round Dishcloth (I think it's the 3rd round one on the list)

I left off the edging round...

#21: Tunisian Simple Stitch

I learned how to do Tunisian crochet for the 2nd round of the Scavenger Hunt Crochet Motif Swap, and this was a bit of practice. I figured I'd might as well make the practice swatch functional! Wink
