2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Plastic bags that newspapers come in?? on: March 26, 2007 01:46:17 PM
My newspaper always comes in those little colored bags that I feel too guilty to throw away but can't recycle (my garbage company only takes plastics that have necks- milk jugs, bottles, etc.). Any suggestions??
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: ReadyMade on: March 26, 2007 12:06:44 PM
I own the book myself, and although the projects are interesting and eco-friendly, I don't like the book. The materials can be quite hard to find and a lot of projects are for home/apartment owners- not me.

Anyone know of some crafty or thrift stores in the Beloit and/or Janesville area?

perhaps if you have any other shirts with lettering on them (and that you'll be willing to sacrifice) you could cut out letters of the sacrificed shirt and replace or overlap them onto the original shirt, creating a new message and giving it a "ransom note" look. i'm not sure if this idea will work, it might take some playing around with.

hope this helps!
