2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / IKEA Malma Mirror Swap-2nd time around on: May 02, 2016 10:56:57 AM
Hi all,

After a several year hiatus from Craftster, I'm trying to find my creativity again! I remember really enjoying the previous Malma Mirror swap (back in 2009-yikes!), and I thought it sounded like a fun swap to try again. It's pretty low key-all you have to do is decorate a Malma mirror from IKEA up really nice for your swap partner. If you'd like to see the results of last time, check out this thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=289462.0

Is anyone interested? I'm totally willing to organize  Grin

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Babymouse Dress for Children's Book Celebration on: May 21, 2014 05:27:58 AM
It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I'm super proud of this, so I wanted to share! Every year, the Houston Public Library has a Children's Book Celebration. This was our 5th year, and our author was Jennifer L. Holm, who wrote the Babymouse books. I was the head of the committee this year, so I decided to go all out by making a Babymouse dress! I used an old pattern I had, used white denim, and used bias tape around the edges to make it look more like it was drawn. The pink heart is made out of felt. I did my hair in meatballs, because I didn't have time to find/make white mouse ears, although it's hard to see the top of my head. Enjoy!

Way to persevere through the tricky pattern! I love the removable straps on the jumper, and I love that pink blouse too
