Aren't socks so fun?!  and so addicting!!  I LOVE them!!!

I just learned how to do a figure 8 cast-on for toe-up socks.  woah nelly!  It's gonna take a while for me to perfect it, but it's a great way to start a sock.

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Re: Camp Scrapbook (lots of pictures!) on: September 12, 2006 08:16:13 AM
ha ha...yeah, that's kinda where i am now: not finishing it!  I've just really been into my knitting lately and only wanting to knit, so the scrapbook has fallen off the priority list.  But I have all of these pictures printed out and ready to go from Summer '04!!  kind of ridiculous...
Good luck though.  If you do get around to making one, be sure to post pics.  I love seeing camp pictures!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Kitty Pi - Stashbuster! on: August 26, 2006 06:48:09 AM
i am making one of these right now with yarn out of my stash too..what a great stash-buster.   Did you make it directly to size?  I am concerned mine will be too small... Desmond-the-cat weighs about 12 lbs...all in the belly I am afraid...but I don't want to make it too big he doesn't find it snuggly....

one of my kitties is weighing in at 14.5 pounds these days and she loves to lay on top of her kitty pi.  my other cat curls up in it, but vivienne will roll around on it or hug it to herself and play with it.  my recommendation would be to make it to size and if he doesn't fit in it, he'll probably still love the way that it feels.
