I've started this thing 3 times now. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but when I get to the end of the first row of the eyelet ribbing I have an extra stitch, but have the correct number of stitches on the needle. On one of my tries I just tried to fib an fix but later on had trouble like that again in the regular lace part above the ribbing. !@#$ thing! I really want this but just can't seem to get it right!

The links for the pattern pieces and the instructions no longer work - does anyone have any current links for this? I need to make one for my "Street Sweeper" Corgi.

A feather and fan pattern would be very easy.

Good question, I'm wondering the same thing.

I've seen a lot of people talking about how great the book "Sensational Knitted Socks" is. What method does she use in that book?

Thank you, Detroy. The ends do cup, but that gets better with blocking. It does take awhile to get used to charts. I use a post-it note to help me keep track of the rows; some people use a magnetic board with a bar magnet to do the same thing. As for the increases, this particular pattern increases by 2 every other row. For chart B rows 1-61, the # of stitches for each right-side row is [row # + 8]. For example, row 23 has 31 stitches, and row 37 has 45 stitches. Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks, that does help. I was using a post-it note too but it wasn't long enough once I got to the longer rows. I was thinking about buying that magnetic holder thing from Knitpicks. Will probably do that. But first I'm making Knitty's Cozy (just a bit easier than this one!).
