1  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 33 ENTRIES / Nurse, nurse come take my temperature please on: December 05, 2008 10:55:39 AM
I made these for my two daughters for Christmas gifts last year and after they have had so much fun with them I've decided to make a set for their niece for her Christmas present this year.  Paired with a pair of rubber gloves, a mask, some bandages and a few plasters (all of which can be had quite cheaply) this makes for hours of fun...

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas too much trouble...NOT !!!!! on: November 26, 2007 04:11:58 AM
You know I'm just so upset now at my brother and sister. We are not a big family - Christmas times it is only my parents and me, and every second year my brother and sister (the alternate year they are with the in-laws.... mine's in Turkey)..but it just seems that Christmas is just tooo much trouble for them.
First this morning my sister sends an email suggesting that we just give vouchers to everybody this year, because she doesn't have time to look for gifts and then you can just buy yourself a gift !! I ask you - what happened to the spirit of christmas. So I emailed her and my brother back and said I have already worked out what I'm gonna make or give to each of them and their children and to me Christmas is giving out of your heart and a voucher is the most impersonal thing you can get. Furthermore she wants to put a money value to each kid and each couple ...geez I hate things like this.
Now my brother emailed me and said yes they are not all as talented as me (but they won't even try) and he's just going to give to the kids (he's too tightfisted and he's the one with the most money in the famile...figures), but he's not gonna buy crap he'll just give a monetary value to each parent and we can buy for our own kids what we think......so he can't even spend the 5 minutes thinking about us to think of something to buy....

Am I being irrational here Huh Angry
