It would only be a short trip across the sea for me to steal that blanket, plus a ryanair flight would be cheaper than the cost of MistressJennies shipping
42  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Rise of the Cougars Geezer Swap, Round 7 SIGNUPS CLOSED, SENDOUTS 4/1/17 on: March 28, 2017 12:59:56 AM
I am at a point where I could be done with stage 2. May have to be done with stage 2. working on the 3rd and final stage right now, hoping there will be time to revisit stage 2.

So unhappy with it. This is going to be a time when my partner is going to shake her head and say "Did she even read my questionnaire?" but every time I tried to vary from the pattern to be more inline with what I thought my partner was requesting it just wasn't working out.

Sometimes we are our own worst critics, I have never, ever seen anything of yours that wasn't really good.

I totally love that tote. Don't bring it to any Craftster meet ups, kbrison...it might go "missing." Wink

Guess it's lucky then that I won't be able to make it to any meet ups this year! Remind me NOT to give you any details about the Arlington, Texas meet up in 2018. Grin

are you sure? We are in the states for 6 weeks and am meeting craftsters in NC, maybe NJ, Nashville, hopefully Orlando, and maybe NO ...?!?!?!?

Thanks for the couple more days, I am 98% finished, but haven't been able to get the last 2% done this weekend, it will be tonight...

That's very good advice, doctor! In addition to the flu, it will also cure workplace stress. Unfortunately, side effects may include wobbly stitches, having to frog, or spilling paint on the carpet.

pppffffsssstttt, minor side effects my dear, minor.

Now I want to set up an altar to Anoia in my kitchen! When you share a tiny kitchen and have only one drawer to store everything, it gets stuck often!

I planned to work on edelC's stuff last night. That didn't happen because I came down with flu or something similar. I basically came home from work and sat like a bump on a log until it was time for bed. Being fully aware of the fact that I would screw up anything I tried to work on did not stop me from feeling guilty for not doing anything. It's funny that I can goof off at work all day, not feel the least bit bad about wasting my employer's money, and be wracked with shame over not putting in time on swap projects. Priorities are funny things. It might have something to do with the fact that I like edelC a whole lot more than I like my boss!

An Aonia altar is a good idea..except it might encourage more things to get stuck

I am sorry that you are not feeling well Dr Edel prescribes a hot whiskey (if you like that sort of thing) stud a slice of lemon with a couple of cloves, add it to a couple of fingers of irish whiskey with a spoonful of sugar and top up with boiling water.

drink many of them

you will feel better, or stop caring

This is kind of a cool article about veggie parts that tend to get thrown away.

http://www.theloop.ca/amazingly-delicious-vegetable-parts-youve-probably-throwing-away/

that is great.

I always use the stalk of brocolli, it is the nicest part imho. You need to peel the tough outer layer but the inside is tender and juicy, I don't cook it separately, just add it in with the brocolli that I am already preparing,.

This is a great thread, it is so nice to see some awesome work all put together. Getting this thread done has to have been a monumental task, well done to you both.

MistressJennie I am loving the series of hats, but the tea designs are really unusual and excellent. As a fellow teaholic, I approve
50  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: arrghhhhhhh help. I may have used too much lye and water on: March 20, 2017 03:05:01 PM
Thank you so much!! I did use a soap calc, but had a total senior moment when I printed out both calculations and mixed them up.

I will defintely have a go a rebatching, the soap has some ground almonds in it so it is rough textured in any case so change in texture should be hidden. I might add in some ground oatmeal (bad idea?) to make it more textured.

I really appreciate your help and advice.
