11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Thank you spirals420 on: November 13, 2006 12:29:34 AM
I has looking through spirals42's blog and I came across this awesome hat. Its a 2x2 ribbing hat made out of noro.  I did not have noro, but I did have the new sws from patons. I made two of these so far and I plan on making more for the holidays.

I loooove this yarn.  The purple one is actually a gift and the other one is mine since I have used it a lot already.  I also bought a skein of noro, since the colors are so beautiful
12  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / headline news: yet another newboy cap plus more hats on: November 13, 2006 12:21:39 AM
I have had this book for more than a year and I had never made anything from it.  I had always loved the newsboy cap, but I felt intimidated by the cables and the brim.  This weekend I took the plunged and I made it.
I made it out of cascade 220. Even though the brim is wonky and the plastic show, I really like the way that it came out.  Now I have two request for the hat, and thats only because they are the only ones that have seen it so far.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I will post my other two hats here as well.

Its the newsboy cap without the cables

and the super small basic cable hat.  I forgot to change to the bigger needles so it came out very small.
13  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / This book is addicting on: September 21, 2006 11:09:02 PM
I love this book and all the awsome patterns that it contains.  I have fininshed a lot of projects recently that couldn't share, sinceI had left my camera at a friends house. Well I got it back and now a can share the pics with you all. I finish the cold shoulders, the garden scarf, and short and sweet.

I love the patterns that I have made from the book.  I think I have completed about 15 or more projects from this book and I keep on working on more.
14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / felted circle bag on: September 21, 2006 10:58:45 PM
Hello, this is a felted circle bag that I made up myself.  I was inspired a felted circle bag from crochetville, but I used yarn that I had in my stas instead of the fall color that were used for the other bag.

I still need to adjust the handles for the bag, since I did not join them before felting.
15  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / orange you glad, new fall bag on: September 21, 2006 01:01:13 AM
I finished the orange you glad. I love the way that it turn out.  My cousin said that it was to summery and I told her it was my new fall bag. She said that I was nuts, but I told her that its California, and its mostly summer year round.
16  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / two HH scarves on: August 22, 2006 02:55:10 PM
I made the garden scarve with was my first HH project, but not the first to complete.  I wasn't paying attention to the hook size so a use a different one and then I lost it, so I started using another hook which made the flowes smaller, but oh well I finished it.  I also made the one skein scarve, that one only took a few hours to complete.  The garden scarve is made with wool of the andes from knitpicks and the one skein scarve is made with RW soft yarn.

17  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / knot ulgy shrug? cardigan? on: August 22, 2006 02:47:22 PM
I finished the knot ulgy shrug but I made it a bit longer.  I add 4 rows to the back and front. I made the size larger back and the ex-large front  since I wanted more coverage of my ginormous breasts.  I love the color of this and I am sure I will wear it often.

18  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / completed frou frou on: August 22, 2006 02:37:00 PM
I started a crochetalong for the froufrou and I am finish.  I was not that complicated as it seem. I had a lot of fun with this project. Now I am waiting for cooler wheather so I can wear it.  I use wool of the andesi in evergreen from knitpicks. I still need to block it to make is fit smoother.

19  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / year of the pig on: August 20, 2006 09:31:29 PM
I made this piggy for my boss's birthday.  In the chinese zodiac she is from the year of the pig and so am I.  So I thought and amigurumi pig would be an ideal gift.

20  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / lazy short and sweet on: August 20, 2006 09:15:32 PM
I made the short and sweet, but I alter the pattern somewhat.  I did not do the relief stitch because I kept losing track, so I didn't bother with it.  I love the way that I turn out. I made a large and I feel that its a little big on me, but oh well. I still need to block it, but I wanted to share.
