1  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / FBB with a bead cluster pin. on: July 01, 2008 01:39:11 PM
I really like making the Fat Bottom Bags, since this is the fourth one I've completely finished.  I love the quick gratification of starting on it and having it finished up completely soon there after.  Anyway, I am going to give this one to my mom's neighbor girl, who is all riddled with teen angst, and has the wicked witch for a step-mother.....

and the inside:

I see many more of these to come Smiley
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A Bagsket of my very own! on: July 01, 2008 01:21:25 PM
So, I've been coveting Lucinda879's bagsket she made https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=245119.0 I got to thinking to myself, "There is a tutorial, and although it seems detailed, it shouldn't be too hard"   Well, it was very time consuming, what with all of the pinning.  But, I am very proud of my finished product.  I screwed up the drawstring part, cuz I made it too big and had to cut the extra off at the end after I had already sewed the bias tape on. You can't really tell unless you are looking for it though.  Smiley

On to the pics!

A little bit of a closer pic....

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need help, Jeans leftovers = sleeveless shirt on: April 22, 2005 09:35:08 AM
Ok, I have these parts I cut off a pair of jeans:

and I want to make a corset style shirt...BUT...I want some support to my breasticles.  I don't really know how exactly I am going to accomplish this, but I thought I would offer it up to some fellow craftsters for some ideas.  What I want the finished product to be like a lace-up back sleeveless cami, with support for sagging girls..... Does this make sence?
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Jordy style, pink dragonflies, and a flap on: April 19, 2005 01:40:40 PM
Here is my dragonfly purse I made.  It doesn't have any pockets, but I love the flap and little button.  I made it lined with extra heavy lining, which I would change on future projects because it was just to bulky to sew.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Green, wiggly Foulard shawl on: April 14, 2005 05:52:27 AM
I made this shawl for spring.  It seems that now that winter is over, I've been getting the urge to crochet more, but am finding it hard to make usable crafts.  I used the pattern from http://members.fortunecity.com/pattyna/patterns/yarn/foulard.html  It was fairly easy, only took two afternoons.  I have to say that the TLC Wiggles yarn is a little difficult to crochet with, but other than that it went pretty smoothly.

Let me know what you think.
6  UNITED STATES / Kansas / Topeka Spirit-Mind-Body Fair....anyone ever go? on: October 29, 2004 05:47:40 PM
Its coming up next weekend (Nov 6&7) at the Ag Hall by the Expo Center.  My friends and I usually go, it has some really neat booths.  Its the only craft/arts fair that ever comes around here.  Anyone else planning on going?
