Thank you so much , and yes thats how I do it . I start By making a basic bodice ( with or without skirt attached ) ( or you could upcycle a thrifted dress) and then just start layering on the scraps in any haphazard way that appeals to you , the more you bunch and twist the fabric the more awesome the " quilted " texture becomes . its really almost like meditating when you get in the creative zone and just start wildly stitching Smiley

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Another sheer maxi jumpsuit for the Keys on: August 25, 2015 10:46:13 AM
Hi everyone , here is another wide leg maxi pant jumpsuit I just finished to wear on our Key West vaca . The bottom is sheer light fabric with " Russian nesting dolls " printed on it and the top as well as the under short portion is a striped knit . The patterns are different but I like how the colors work together . some of the pics are silly but I was trying to prove that they are indeed pants lol

thanks for taking the time to look and have a great day

Thank you both so much for the positive feed back . I know Sheer leopard isnt traditionally the classiest fabric and ive had it in my stash for a few years trying to decide how best to use it . My hubby and I are going on our 3rd annual Key West trip next week  and I think if there is anyplace that I could away with wearing sheer leopard print its the keys ! lol The weather is like the surface of the sun and the nightlife is wild .. I figured this would sort of bridge the gap . Leopard always seems " club like " to Me and well anything sheer and light is good for dancing on open roof tops in 100 degree weather   !  It is a tad long But I intend to always wear it with heels . with heels its just long enough to float across the ground without stepping on it . I would not  be able to wear it with flats without tripping Wink I may end up hemming it up just a half inch or so ....

Thank you . Im considering going back and buying the rest of the bolt for future projects . Its been at the store for a while and I think Im the only person who has bought any . The Hubby and I are taking our  annual trip to Key West at the end of the month and I bringing this dress along for sure  . My Hubby likes that it gives Me a few different outfit options and less to pack lol
