11  Re: I Love BUTTONS Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TreeTree on: June 09, 2008 07:03:27 PM
Wow, I didn't realize the gallery was up and already full of beautiful projects.  I totally need to make a button bouquet now and those garden markers were a really unique idea!

I received from my partner today and when she told me she went "overboard" I had no idea what she meant.  This is what she meant:

Not 2 small projects and buttons...more like 1 large project, 1 medium project and 6 small projects! Ack! Hope she isn't too disappointed, because I sent mine already and they are 3 small projects.

Anyway here are some more closeups of the incredible goodies:

13  La Catrina Doll in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by TreeTree on: October 22, 2007 10:14:30 PM
My swap partner received today so I can share my La Catrina doll I made.  The head and arms are made of polymer clay, plain white with faux finishes and ink details.  I used a mold I made from a toy skull.  This is the first time I made a doll like this and I'm really proud of her, think I'll make more.

14  Re: DAY OF THE DEAD SWAP (round 2) GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by TreeTree on: October 19, 2007 12:27:44 PM
I received from Erica (PetuniaHead) today! I got some awesome stuff...A very colorful printed Day of the Dead Bag...A fabulous flower hair clip, A handpainted trinket box that says Vive La Vida on the bottom and a skull face on top, and some nicely scented glycerin soaps that photographed surprisingly well.

I'm glad you like it hellokittygirl!  I combined two of your themes...skulls and polka dots.

I also received today and she went with my tudor rose theme, it came out beautiful!

16  Re: oodles of crafted flowers swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by TreeTree on: September 06, 2007 12:28:30 PM
I have Nikki Epstein's Book of Knitted Flowers and am looking for an excuse to make some...it's been awhile.  In winter I adorned a pillow with flowers from the book:

So I'm definitely interested.  Wink

17  Vampire themed goodies, plus extra in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by TreeTree on: August 24, 2007 11:11:58 AM
This is what I recently sent to superhooker for Altoid Swap 7.  It's the most advanced I've gotten for actually sculpting little things so I wanted to  post in on the polymer clay board.

This is the top of the tin, her theme was vampires:

And I made here a themed charm bracelet with 4 polymer charms and garnet beads in between.  The charms are a bat, chalice with blood, coffin and head of garlic.

She also likes hello kitty and chococat so I included two pins (btw, the whiskers are made of wire, painted black):

These were alot of fun, thinking of making more themed charm bracelets.

Superhooker received and said I could post pics!  I went with her vampire theme:

The top is a moon and vampire bat.

Inside there's a velvet cushion (aka coffin lining) and a vampire themed charm bracelet with polymer garlic, bat, chalice and coffin. The top had a mirror.

Hiding under the cushion are two polymer clay pins, chococat and hello kitty! lol

19  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by TreeTree on: August 17, 2007 06:44:16 AM
I really like the heart with glasses idea, seems a fitting tribute.

I need some advice.  I know I want a tat on my back between my shoulder blades I'm just torn as to what.  My first thought was a conch shell, but I vetoed that...I don't think I want a shell on me forever.  Then I saw this:

But a friend said tribal style tattoo's are way to trendy.  I'm getting into buddism and want to start making mandalas...should I try making some and seeing if one of those would make a good tat?

Everybody is getting such lovely little things!  Love the lariat and the post it notes.  However, I really really love what I just got from Homerof2:

It's perfect!  I keep using receipts for bookmarks because I don't have one and it has 3 of my favorite colors in it, very me.  It reminds me of my grandmother because plastic canvas was her favorite craft medium...or one of them anyway.
