1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting with Dog Hair!!! on: May 23, 2007 07:50:52 PM
seriously. The dog of the family living next door to my parents house, is an outdoor dog... in canada... and noticably part wolfy. When Spring comes along, his big puffy cloud outer body comes off in HUGE CLUMPS... one time I was "helping" him shed and I filled a garbage bag with that stuff. Not a big industrial bag, just the size between bathroom and kitchen... um... a small kitchen garbage bag I guess. And he being a big canadian wolf dog, he would have such warm yarn!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / very sturdy cavy cage? on: December 18, 2006 06:21:17 PM
I am competent enough to make the nice big roomy cages as described on cavycages.com but I also have sneaky ferrets, and will eventually be living with a big and well meaning doggy who loves to bite birdies (but not people) - I had to watch one of the piggies while I was still living with said doggy and he really wanted to eat the piggie!

My poor little piggy boys are each in their own little guinea pig "starter kit" cage, and I wanted to make a bigger cage for them so they can live together, but it needs to have small enough holes in the walls so the ferrets can't get in, and sturdy enough that a determined doggy can't hurt them.

Any ideas?
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / prettiful Christmas Cards and bookmarks on: December 18, 2006 06:00:29 PM
I wanted something very lolita to send to friends this christmas... I made these "thanksgiving weekend"... as in, american thanksgiving november whenever it was.. I'm canadian, but got american thanksgiving off of work for some reason. ah well.

These were my first try, so be gentle Wink

I went shopping with mom first to pick my pallet, and she has a whole bunch of sizzix because she does daycare and discovered scrapbooking this year @_@

Anyways, onto the cards!

I made this bookmark for myself - it's inspired by lolita "headress" accessories.

I'm sending this card and bookmark to the girl who makes all my lolita clothes (so far - getting a sewing machine for Christmas hehe)

The inside of the card

I'm sending this card to a girl I'm doing a lolita skirt exchange with

I love me some good Engrish XD
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Hamsters Clothes! on: May 21, 2006 01:51:09 PM
awwww what a sweet little hamster! I'm so sad she died Sad Even though he wasn't originally ours, we were looking after him because a friend no longer could, we were very sad when little Oreo died. He was those colours too, we called him the Buddha rat because he was so pudgy and perched in his food dish and looked like a little buddha statue...

*misses Oreo*
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: "Cat Shelf" window seat for apt. kitties! on: May 21, 2006 01:48:27 PM
aw, what a sweet little shelf! We got that kind of cat toy for our ferret, and she loves killing it ^.^ But she isn't allowed to play unsupervised, we don't want her choking on the bell.

My favourite part of this shelf is all the different carpet pieces, like she's sitting on her own patchwork quilt.
