51  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / strap length on: August 09, 2004 01:10:34 AM
So, I used a piece of string to estimate the strap length on a bag I want to make.  Does 44" seem like an insane measurement for a messanger bag that I want to wear like across my body? Undecided
52  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Janet T-shirt on: August 08, 2004 01:02:31 AM
I want to do a t-shirt reconstruction, but I love the t-shirt so much I am afraid it won't trun out well.  It is a Janet Jackson T-shirt and I love her Kiss because I'm a big nerd.  Any suggestions for a funky, but nice looking reconstruction (ie: I don't want anything being tied or looking messy).  I know there are probably a million posts about t-shirt surgery, but this isn't a $1 thrift store t...it's very important to me.  Please help!
53  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / pillow edit:pictures work on: August 05, 2004 07:24:52 PM
Ok, I only have one picture because I made 6 pillows for my mom's vacation house and I finished the morning she left so by the time I thought to take pictures all of the other pillows were packed.  There were three colors coral, and the baby blue and purple in this picture.  They are ultra suede, washable pillow cases with zipper(in case I spill on one, which is likely).  The trim was made with cording and sewn with a zipper foot to get close enough.  There is one large (18")and one small(14") pillow of each color with a contrasting trim.  They have down pillow forms, and they are soooo squishy Smiley

54  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Important ? + Picture/Scrapbook Quilt...Fun, bright colors! edit:pictures work on: August 05, 2004 07:03:04 PM
I made this quilt for a friend who will be graduating college this december.  Now that I've made it I've realized that I could make money making similar items to sell to girls in my sorority.  I posted this question somewhere else but didn't get a reply so I was wondering how much you would be willing to pay for a mini quilt or pillow.  I was thinking that starting with pillows I would charge $25 and up depending on the size, how many squares, if both sides have pattern or one is solid, that sort of thing.  For a mini quilt(2.5'x2.5' ish) with a solid back I was thinking like $50-$65.  I don't know really, what do y'all think Huh
