1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Don-Don: Pretty Elephant! on: April 07, 2007 12:36:49 PM
So I was hanging out last night after sharing some Irish coffee with some friends and found I wasn't tired in the least.  Not wanting to lay in bed with  my eyes wide open for a few hours, I made an elephant instead.

I used an amigurumi pattern by Tamara Bower Snow when the patterns were still free (very very generous of her to do that for so long).  I crocheted him with some Lion Brand Jiffy I found in my stash the other day.  Isn't he adorable?  Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Curling Concerns for Interweave's Pullover Flair on: February 19, 2007 11:09:43 AM
So, I'm knitting Interweave Knit's Pullover Flair from Spring 2006, and something's bothering me about it.  There's no small ribbing or anything along the bottom or sleeves of the pullover, and yet the picture clearly shows that the fabric is lying perfectly flat.  I'm mostly through the front, and the cast-on edge is definitely curling.

I am using Woolease instead of the Artful Yarns Olympic recommended for the pattern.  Would that be why mine is curling?  Or does the Olympic yarn curl just as much?  Has anyone else used Olympic before and knows?  And if my sweater is still curling after I block it, does anyone know a way to keep it from doing so?  (Like a crochet or knit edge or something)

I hope it'll lay down after I block it, but I'm very concerned.  Help!
