1  lazy girl's skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by shellybean on: September 06, 2006 08:45:46 PM
I got this skirt on a sale panel at Joanne's.All I had to do was cut out the circle and the waist band and add a zipper. So I can barely say that I sewed it, but it was super easy, I loved the fabric and I already had a blue sweater to go with it. Its going to be great for working in during the fall/winter. 3 cheers for a $4 skirt!

2  Pink wrap kimono-esque shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by shellybean on: July 19, 2006 09:02:55 PM
I used MCalls 4303 for this shirt. It ended up looking just like a Kimono because I made the sleeves really long. Nonetheless, I am really happy with it, especially the fabric, which I absolutely love. Plus, the busy, yet monochromatic print tended to cover up my little sewing errors.  Grin
The picture is kinda wonky b/c our digital camera is on the fritz and that is the only pic that came out. My friend should be sending me some more pics and I will edit this post accordingly. I would like the ask some advice. Both times I have made a wrap dress/shirt, the neck banding has come out somewhat bunching. I just did some makeshift tucking in both cases, and it looks okay to wear, but I still know its not perfect. Does anyone have any suggestions about doing the curve of the neck so that there isn't too much material back there? Thanks in advance for the help! I hope you guys like the shirt. The pattern was easy peasy (aside from the neck) and only took me a couple hours to complete. Smiley

3  Neon pink corduroy skirt of awesomeness in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by shellybean on: July 08, 2006 09:38:46 AM
This is the first thing I ever made, but I haven't had a chance to take a picture of it until I fixed my digital camera. I love the fabric- a neon pink corduroy that my mom has had lying around the house since before I was born. She also has the same type of corduroy in sunshine yellow and this great shade of teal. I am still pondering what I am going to make with them....I may dye the yellow into some other color...but anyway, here it is. Please pardon the wrinkles and poor picture quality- I had to take this picture myself b/c the hubby is out of the house.

4  Orange flowered dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by shellybean on: July 07, 2006 07:40:39 PM
I made this dress this weekend. I love it because the fabric is  super soft and the cut is super comfy. I used New Look pattern 6459. I will definitely use it again, except next time I will make it a size smaller (a 14 rather than a 16- I usually wear a 4 to a 6 in store bought clothes) and cut down the size of the top peice because I think it is a little high cut. Overall, I am very pleased with the dress. Whatcha think?  Smiley
