1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Reusable Sandwich Wrap on: August 01, 2011 08:33:37 AM
I was tired of my lunch spilling out all over my purse, and I felt a little guilty about using Ziploc bags. So I created this sandwich wrap from a tutorial I found in a book!

You can see more images and how-to steps on my blog:

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Knotted Baby Hats from Tee Shirts on: July 12, 2011 12:21:58 PM
I made some baby hats using old tee shirts and a Prudent Baby pattern for my 4-month-old niece.

I think she likes them!

More photos and a link to the free pattern on my blog:

This looks great, very structural. I think it would be a nice design on a bag too

On a bag!! What a great idea! I totally agree.

Sweet!  Were the gathers hard to do in the t-shirt fabric?

Surprisingly, no! I just loosened the tension on the machine a little and as soon as I started to sew, it started puckering. I still had to pull the thread to even it out, but I found it quite easy!

Why didn't I think of this when I was in college? Gorgeous AND practical!!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ruffle Pillow from Old Tee Shirt on: June 27, 2011 08:52:07 AM
A few weeks ago, I made a felt Ruffle Flower Pillow:

I loved it so much that I decided to use an old tee shirt to make another one using that same pattern. It turned out really well!

More on my blog:

I have so many tee shirts that I can use for reconstruction projects! Now what to make next...
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wooden Jewelry Display Frame on: June 13, 2011 09:13:33 AM
This is not a jewelry project, but it's a jewelry storage project!

I drilled holes in this wooden frame and added Anthropologie knobs to it:

It was really easy, and I LOVED choosing the knobs. (Even better, they were on clearance. Heehee.)

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Mary Jane Shoes on: June 09, 2011 11:47:24 AM
I knitted these baby shoes using a free pattern from Red Heart. They were easy and so adorable! I'm probably going to make them in a bunch of other colors for my niece.

The link for the free pattern is on my blog:

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Ruffle Flower Pillow on: June 08, 2011 12:28:16 PM
I made this using a kit my friend bought me from Etsy:

You can see a few of my how-to photos on my blog:

http://thefeistyredhead.blogspot.com/2011/06/ruffle-flower-pillow.html

There's a link to buy the kit on there, too, if you want to make it super easy on yourself. Heehee.

The only thing I don't like about the pillow is that it's felt, so it's more decorative than anything. I want to make another one using an old tee shirt, that way I can use it for naps!
