Thanks Always!  You know that I always tell everyone that Lana was raised on Craftsters love.  Smiley

Thanks LovelyMiss!

I have more wonderful news to share.  They had their convention this weekend and Lana will be co-president of the club next year.  So happy for her!  She is going to be busy, but it will be a great growing experience for her.

AM, thanks my points look good.

Love the cute bunnies and all the other great stuff!  Smiley

So just a question, Does no one like Barrettes? I can't sell them for cheap at craft sales either, but I'm not sure why. I love them. Im sure not everyone shares my sense of style, but am I really all alone?

I think they're adorable, but I don't wear barrettes myself and I don't have any kids or know anyone youngish to get them for. It's so hard to know what will sell at sales.

Hi dfabbric!
One of my friends used to sell barrettes and other sewn goodies at craft fairs with me.  I think it's hard to sell even when they are inexpensive because there is so much of that stuff at stores and some people don't appreciate handmade stuff.  Personally I love them and purchased tons from craft fairs, etc. when Lana was a baby.

Thanks all!  I helped get the educational and food vendors for Lana, but she was the one that contacted all the non-profits and planned all the community service activities.  There was another officer that was supposed to work with her on GYSD, but that girl decided that she wanted to plan a fundraiser with her friends for Ethiopia so everything fell on Lana.  It was stressful for her.  She cried a couple of times out of frustration, but overall I think it was a good learning experience for her.

Gah, you are a crafting machine Kathy.  I haven't done anything crafty in a long time which is bad since I have a craft fair coming up.  LOL.  It is my first time trying Arbutus Art Fest http://arbutusartsfestival.com/   They are letting Lana run her button machine to fundraise for DM!  Smiley

Thanks!!!

Hi Bea!  I don't know if I told you, but the other officers asked Lana to plan this event since they were busy planning for their convention.  I was really proud of Lana and all the kids.  They are great!

Hi Kathy: Most definitely!! The auction is their best fundraiser as well as being a community building event.  Smiley    I am also going to plan another craft fair...maybe a holiday themed one??

Thanks you guys for crafting your buns off for us!  Smiley

This coming weekend is our convention.  The kids have been working really hard on planning all the events.  I can't wait to see what they've come up with.  They'll be doing a few more service activities at the convention too.

Great hearing about all the different techniques.  I'm hoping to jump in full force soon!  Smiley
