I can't wait to see everyone's aprons!  So inspiring...I found the cutest vintage bowling fabric that is going to make the best gift for my two bowling partners! Cheesy
16284  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: new clutch/wallet/multi thingy on: September 01, 2011 07:30:51 AM
Besides cutting away the interfacing and diagonal trimming the corners, I also layer cut my seams(this is called grading a seam)...leave the outside fabric the biggest, the next layer, cut a tiny bit smaller, the next layer, tinier still, etc. The inside layer should practically be only a few threads wide...when you topstitch, all the inside layers will be trapped inside and you are really only top stitching through two layers... Cheesy

I also use a chopstich to push out the corners and then my seam ripper to gently pull out the last little bit...

I think a little bit of rounding is actually nicer...lovely contrast with the red...I like your wallet.

I am always glad to see first time swappers!  They usually surprise me with their talent and imagination!  The fabrics on the apron are so cheerful and interesting!

I love the heart on the cat stuffie and also the apron!  The pincushion is wonderful--I collect them just like Leslieshappyheart! Cheesy

Glad to see you are back in business...I hope we don't see another hurricane anytime soon!

You two were meant to be partners!!

Both of the aprons are wonderful...the fabrics, the extras (so personal and imaginative!)

I love that the sewing apron pockets had stuff in them related to the fabric! ha ha

The little gnome guy is cute...it would make a great holiday decoration...so cheerful!
