This is a super cool sampler quilt--cool fabric, cool colors, and cool blocks!  I love how you were able to frame out the scenes of the fabric in the big blocks and then used pieces of each scene to make some of the other blocks...really showcases the fabrics!

You really have a lot of basic traditional blocks but you made them so modern and fun!

Wonderful job, Maremare...I bet your swap partner was so thrilled!  I have no idea how you could give it up...such an inspiring piece and one of my favorite quilts you have done!

ha ha T--don't look to close at the crochet ones...I am still learning where to crochet at the beginning and ends...seems I either grow my stuff or shrink them...glad you liked the knit ones...I tried doing some thinner ones and some scrubby ones...I love the knit one that uses crochet thread!

I will be making a lot more of those for me! Cheesy

wow--those earrings from embroidery thread are gorgeous...I finished my six mermaids!  Thanks for all of your encouragement and ideas!  I am going to make a quilt out of them...for my niece... Cheesy

I have not posted pics of anything yet because I am still having computer/camera issues...very frustrating...but I will get past it soon.

I made this cushion for HSG in the Cushion Cover Swap.  Had to snag her pic since I did not have a chance to take my own (I was angeling and had to make this quickly!).

I drew out the plan on graph paper, pieced it, quilted it with simple running stitches and embroidery.  The closure is a combo of a zipper and flap on the back.  This is a new style of quilting that I am doing all summer since I am trying to destash my yards of solid fabrics!

ha ha I was trying not to bust at the seams and make it a surprise! Glad you got it so quickly and that it met one of your themes!

The embroidery is actually done with two strands of quilting thread...as a quilter, I was always intrigued by embroidery being used to hold the pieces to the batting...so really, your cushion cover was an experiment! Cheesy

Glad I did not blow up the lab...Cheesy  I will try this again on a larger quilt.

Happy cushions all around!
