Ooh, I love it!  What modifications did you make?
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First socks ever on: March 20, 2007 08:34:58 AM
I'm pretty proud of myself--I made a pair of socks!  Two socks!  It took about a week from when I cast on the first one until when I grafted the toe of the second.
I used Plymouth sockotta and instructions from Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch.

Thanks everyone!  They weren't hard to do, I just followed the instructions.  Only today I was gonna wear them and the yarn at the cast-on edge broke!  And with it my heart.  But I'm already considering the next socks I'll make.  I AM hooked now.
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Peace Belt and Bag on: March 06, 2007 01:03:34 AM
I love those sooo much!  I even remember seeing them in that magazine and almost buying that issue just for them.  But I'm a cheapskate.  Sad  Yours turned out so nice though!

That is so kick-ass.  I love combinations of science and craft.
Ahhhh.  You're my new hero.

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Taking care of Fringe on Scarves? on: January 27, 2007 01:58:45 AM
I've always thought that sorta unraveled look was part of the charm of fringe.
I know I'm not helpful though.  Sorry.

29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: vagina monster and other weirdness on: November 14, 2006 09:47:31 PM

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Stripe tunic... thing on: September 25, 2006 02:41:51 PM
I think it's perfect just the way it is.  It's always nice to have something that's a little looser than it needs to be, and this way you can wear it with jeans without having belt loops stick out and make the fabric look puckery.  You know what I mean?  Maybe I'm the only one that's concerned about that sort of thing.
But anyway it's totally cute, and an excellent use of stripes in a non-overwhelming way.  Thumbs up.
