Some of you may have seen this post:https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=65122.0
I wanted to make one of those, but there was no tute so I make a really ugly tute myself. If you can't see the pics please tell me.
-A big towel. The size of this depends on how big your hanger is and how large you want the organizer.
-A hanger. Uhh. A pretty sturdy one. You be the judge.
-Cardboard, a folder, plastic, something to make the bottom sturdy.
-Scissors, sewing machine or needle and thread.http://www.freewebs.com/wimpydoughnut/tw11.bmp
Cut out those pieces according to the sizes you want. Oh, cut them out of the towel. You might want to make one of the long sides of #2 so that the nice hemmed edge of the towel is right along it. Just so that it'll look nice and you don't have 2 hem it.http://www.freewebs.com/wimpydoughnut/tw2.bmp
Sew one of the long edges (NOT THE NICE EDGE) of #2 to three sides of #1. Two long sides and one short side. I really hope you can understand this picture. It's SORT OF like sewing one side of a purse to the gusset, if that's the right word. Get it?http://www.freewebs.com/wimpydoughnut/tw3.bmp
Fold over the two short unsewn sides of number two to the short unsewn edge of number one. They SHOULD meet in the center just about right. I really hope you can understand this again. Take the two flappy bits at the top and pin them (if you REALLY want to) to the last unsewn edge of the smaller piece and sew em on.
From here, you can turn it inside out so that your seams arent showing or you can be radical and just leave it. Look at the pic at the top of the link I posted to see what it should look like. You can cut your cardboard/folder/plastic/whatever to the size of the bottom of your holder to add support. It should be about .5 H by H (according to your beginning measurements) minus about an inch or less for seam allowances and ease of inserting. Oh, and also put in the hanger. Slip it in the top where you sewed the sides to the main rectangle. Look at this pic (the one that roller*romance did).
